Solid TV Wall Mount

Unboxing my Rocketfish Premium Extending Tilt TV Wall Mount - The wall mount was packaged well and secure and came with installation instruction and a wall mounting template. One of the things I look for in any TV wall mount is the ability to adjust the mount to the wall studs regardless of how far or close the studs are and further adjustments can be made when the TV is mounted. This TV wall mount allowed for both these adjustments so I was able to position my TV to my desired location on the wall. Mounting was very straightforward with the proper tools (stud finder, ratchet wrench, etc..) and the help of another person. This is definitely a two person install just to make things faster and to help lift the TV and connect to wall mount.
This wall mount can fit 50-100inch TV up to 220lbs. I installed my 85 inch TV - the bolt pattern is pretty standard nowadays and regardless of the pattern this mount is able to adjust and fit any bolt pattern. The wall mount if very solid in construction and very sturdy when the TV was installed. It was pretty easy to mount and unmount just make sure everything is securely attached before you let go of the TV.
After the TV was mounted I was able to tilt it up or down easily without any issues. The only thing is that I wish it was more flushed to the wall so you don’t see too much of a gap between the TV and wall. It’s not a deal breaker but I would take that into consideration when purchasing a wall mount for your TV or you can frame it into the wall so you don’t see the gap. Overall I do like this mount because its sturdy, was easy to install at this price point.

I’m happy with this TV mount for my TV size

I’ve had this brand before and I really like their stuff. It’s a well-known brand so I know that their product is tried and true and there are no questionable parts and pieces within the box. After taking everything out, I have accounted for everything and I’m not missing anything. I will say this is the largest TV mount that I’ve ever owned and Riley so because we have a 90+ inch TV and we don’t have a shelf big enough to hold it. I will say having someone to help you find the wall studs and make sure it is properly mounted is a must don’t try to do it by yourself. But once you find the wall does the instructions are fairly easy. You can eat even look up a YouTube video to make sure you’re doing it correctly. The actual amount is a little heavy on top of the TV made me wonder if my wall studs could hold it. Because I’m in a 1970 house once everything was up I did a small tuck test and everything feels secure. Again I really like this brand and after installing everything, I’m happy with the results and the range of motion.

I purchased a 98 in Samsung tv. This rockfish mount supports up to 100 in TV. It is the ideal amount for my needs. I like the fact that I am able to tilt the TV so that I can get behind it and access the input ,& various ports in the back. I feel it was a good price for the size capability of the mount.

I originally bought a cheaper one but returned it and bought this. This one has 6 holes for the bolts on a large tv which is needed. Great bracket and easy to pull out the tv from the wall

Worked well for a 98” install. Gives enough room to access back of tv while keeping it close to the wall.

Sturdier and levels easier than articulating arm

The Rocketfish Extending Tilt TV Wall Mount is an impressively built, thoughtfully designed mount that bridges an important gap between typical flat/tilt mounts and fully articulating arms. While I don't have a TV in the upper range that this Rocketfish mount supports, I have found myself complaining often about the difficulty in keeping either of my 65" TVs level on their articulating arms. This is more of a problem with my 65" OLED (presumably because it's heavier than the other). In my case, where I thought an arm was my only option for putting a large flat panel on a knee wall in my bonus room, I was happy to discover this 6.25" extension tilt model exists.
#First impressions#
This Rocketfish mount is extremely well-made. While it doesn't quite match the more expensive long running home theater mount brands in terms of fit and finish, it's worlds above any race-to-the-bottom no-name mount you've seen piled on the shelves in most stores.
The box included a very nice paper manual which honestly was probably not necessary since it has room for very detailed instructions on the paperboard mounting template that also comes in the box. All the fasteners and hardware necessary to mount it came in the box, just provide your own drill!
#Install thoughts#
Thanks to the template and the included bubble level it was easy to get this thing up on the wall. Since I was replacing an older mount, I did some measuring to figure out if the 6 inch extension would be enough to keep this at roughly the same height without being a problem for the shorter knee walls in my bonus room. I decided to reuse two sets of mounting holes into my studs, and since this mount is so wide I put it across a 3rd stud.
I was extremely pleased with how stable the mount is when extended - it's much better than the articulating arm this replaced. As a result, the TV doesn't wobble when my kids charge around the house, and it also stays level vs gradually tilting to the heavier side with the older arm.
#Final Thoughts#
I can definitely justify upgrading to a larger OLED now! While I probably won't be doing that right away, this Rocketfish mount gives me some confidence that I can make a larger display work in my bonus room. At 6" of extension, this mount gives me a lot more room without having even more wobble on an articulating style mount. I have Hue Play lights mounted to this TV, and the extension off the wall gives a bit more glow than a flatter tilt style mount would have, as well. I think this Rocketfish mount compares quite well with some of the higher end brands I've used in the past, and is world's better than the no-name ones I've used for less important TVs. Really, as long as you have a large enough TV to need this mount, you can't go wrong.

Great tv mount

The Rocketfish Extending Tilt TV Mount is exactly the kind of product where you get what you pay for; it’s definitely more expensive than the no-name options online, but the build quality and sheer sturdiness make it worth the investment, especially when you’re hanging a large, expensive TV on your wall. The box is heavy, and that translates directly into confidence once you get it installed. Speaking of installation, it’s certainly manageable for a handy person, but it’s definitely a two-person job simply because of the mount’s weight and size, particularly when aligning it on the wall. They include a nice template and all the necessary hardware for mounting into wood studs or concrete, which is helpful, but make sure you have a serious drill and a stud finder ready to go. Once it’s anchored to the wall, it feels absolutely rock-solid, and I never worry about the safety of the TV. The real magic of this particular model is the "extending tilt" mechanism. Most mounts only offer a simple tilt, but being able to pull the TV away from the wall—even just a few inches—makes a huge difference for two reasons: one, it completely eliminates glare from windows depending on the time of day, and two, it provides crucial access to the HDMI and power ports on the back of the TV without having to take the entire display off the wall, which is a massive time-saver for anyone who regularly swaps out cables or connects a new console. The movement is smooth and holds its position perfectly, offering a great combination of flexibility and stability. If you need a reliable, heavy-duty mount that gives you that extra bit of movement to adjust viewing angles and access cables, this Rocketfish mount is a top-tier choice that delivers excellent peace of mind.

I recently purchased the Rocketfish Extending Tilt TV Wall Mount for my new 85-inch Samsung TV, and I have to say, I’m really impressed with the overall quality and design of this mount. It's a solid construction and has thoughtful engineering.
Right out of the box, you can tell this thing is built like a tank. The steel frame feels incredibly sturdy — not flimsy or hollow like some cheaper mounts. The hardware kit was clearly labeled, which made it easy to match up bolts and spacers for my specific TV. I mounted it on a standard wood stud wall, and the template and included level were surprisingly accurate. Installation took me about an hour solo, but I’d recommend having a second set of hands if your TV is on the heavier side.
Once mounted, the extend and tilt functions work smoothly. The arm extends far enough to give full access to the back of the TV for plugging in HDMI cables or adjusting wires. The tilt range is perfect for reducing glare from windows, and it holds its angle firmly without slipping over time. Even when fully extended, the TV feels stable. I am always worried the wall mount won't hold - but this one does!
I am big on cable management. This wall mount is a simple but effective system to keep cords organized and tucked out of sight. The mount sits fairly close to the wall when retracted, giving the setup a clean, almost flush appearance.
Overall, this is a premium mount at a fair price. It looks professional, feels secure, and performs exactly as promised. If you’re mounting a large TV and want something that’s easy to install, rock solid, and smooth to adjust, the Rocketfish wall mount is worth it.

Great Mount For A Wide Variety Of Televisions

This TV wall mount comes with the bolts you need for the wall and many different screws for the different types of televisions this will work with. This will hold 50” to 100” size TVs. I used this on my 65” TV and this mount is VERY secure to the wall and the TV.
I like this mount better than other tilt mounts I have had because it comes away from the wall farther than others I have dealt with. Other mounts I have had didn’t give any room to get behind the television if you need to unplug something. This one pulls away from the wall about 6 inches to give you enough room to get your hands behind there and do what you need to. Push it back towards the wall and you have about 3 inches of space.
This wall mount is very versatile. It is VESA compliant and will work with any number of different televisions. If you are unskilled at hanging something like this, Google can show you how to install a wall mount and that should help. I have very little experience with things like this and it was not as hard as I thought it would be to install. I highly recommend having a stud finder so that you don’t put extra holes in your walls and it would be more secure from the weight of your TV. I personally think this is a 2-person job unless you have a light TV that is not too large for you to handle.
I love that this comes with a template. It helped so much with the installation. I used the stud finder to find my wall studs and marked them. I then took the template and positioned it to where I would want the television. When installing the first bolt to the wall, I used a ratchet. This was quite the work out. I had no idea how long it would take. From there I used a drill and my arm thanked me for it.
Once I had everything up and in position I was very pleased with this particular mount. It is well made and very sturdy. I like that it extends outward and gives enough of a tilt where needed. I highly recommend this television mount and believe you will not be disappointed with this purchase.

As the title suggests, this was a very easy to install TV wall mount. It works great with my 65" OLED TV. The included template and mounting guide made it very easy to mount to the wall and it's big enough that it feels very sturdy and I was able to catch two studs when mounting it, but not so big that it's obtrusive or seems ungainly.
It was also very easy to mount my TV to it as it supports a wide range of VESA patterns. I am confident when I replace the TV eventually that the new TV will support this mount, saving me a lot of time mounting that eventual replacement TV.
It is also super low profile and offers a really good tilt range. I was able to setup the perfect viewing angle for my TV for all angels. It was also very easy to unlock the TV from it to make some adjustments in order to hide the wires behind it but at the same time was firmly secured when locked in place.
Overall, I highly recommend this wall mount as it was very easy to mount to the wall, install my TV on, and ultimately position it for the best viewing angle. It also feels very solid and well constructed so I now it will last for a long time.

Nice extending tilt wall mount for large TVs

The Rocketfish Extending Tilt TV Wall Mount for 50" - 100" TVs is a sturdy wall mount providing efficient use of space for your home entertainment. I have installed it with my 77" LG TV and it is great!
This Wall Mount allows you to mount your TV and hang it close to the wall, as it is only 2.95" deep. You can extend it up to 6.25" by just grabbing the TV on both sides and pulling it out. It also tilts and you can angle it between +3 to -10 degrees to improve your viewing angle or reduce glare. Between the extension and tilt capabilities, it is easy to adjust for the best angle in your room. I previously had my TV sitting directly on a stand and it wasn't always the best viewing angle, especially if I wanted to recline while watching TV. I have now used this Rocketfish Wall Mount to mount the TV higher on the wall and tilt it so I now have a much better viewing angle from any position in my living room. Mounting the TV also allows for more efficient use of the space, as I now have room to display other things on the stand below the TV.
This Wall Mount is solid and sturdy, and holds up to 220 lbs, so when installed it feels completely secure to hang the TV on it. The Wall Mount is hidden from view from the front also. Included in the box is the TV brackets, wall plate, mounting hardware, mounting template and installation guide. It comes with all hardware needed to install it on either wood studs or a concrete, stone or brick wall, and to install TVs with either a flat back or obstructed back.
I found the instructions to be well written and easy to follow. The wall plate template is helpful during the installation. You'll need some basic tools, such as a level, electric drill and applicable wood or concrete bit, 1/2" socket wrench and a stud finder for drywall, or the same tools for a concrete/stone wall, plus a hammer, but not including the stud finder. I took it relatively slow, to ensure I got it right and it took me about an hour and 15 minutes to hang my TV. If you've used a mount like this before, I'm sure you could do it faster. You will need two people to hang the TV after the mount is installed.
I'm very happy with my new set up, now that my TV is mounted on this Rocket Fish Extending Tilt Wall Mount. I recommend this mount if you are looking to hang a large TV.
