The adapter is sturdy and works consistently to use a tv as a monitor with my Dell Venue tablet. However, because it is a hard adapter and not one with a tail, the position of the hdmi cable is a little tricky. I had to elevate my tablet to make space for the cable (see picture). If my tablet had a micro hdmi port, I would not be able to use this adapter while charging the tablet due to the space constraint. Be sure to look at the ports on your device and think about how it would fit before purchasing and consider getting an adapter that has a short tail attached.

Bought this HDMI adapter for a Nextbook Flexx but can't charge the Nextbook when adapter is on because the orientation of the adapter impedes access to charge port. I tried to return it but was told that I could not return it for a refund or credit. Dissapointed!!

This product wasn't advertised as only working on type c USB. That's probably why people are having problems with them. Also, the packaging was all ripped open. I think best buy sent me one that someone else returned.

I bought this adapter to use with my Raspberry Pi 4 that has two micro HDMI ports. The Raspberry 4 comes with one HDMI micro to HDMI cable, but if you want to use dual monitors, you either need to buy another cable of this type or an adapter. I choose the adapter as I had plenty of HDMI cables sitting around from older versions of the Raspberry Pi. The adapter works, but as you can imagine from its design, it is a tight fit. I plug the micro end into the Pi and that is no problem if you use the port away from the power cable. However, the adapter is then very close to the Pi, making the HDMI cable coming into the side bump into the Pi case. Still, it works. Just make sure you have room for your application.

Purchased after purchasing another mini HDMI product to find out I have a macro HDMI. This is is super compact. So compact I have to be careful about misplacing it. Great that it connects to Macro and Mini and I can use on devices I hadn't thought about hooking up to an HDMI. The only downside I've noticed is with the two sides, it does block my other ports a little bit.

adapter works well - has many uses - better than others on the market

Purchased this adapter to be able to connect various smaller HDMI devices to an HDMI-based TV or external monitor. It's a very well-made adapter that works well with various Micro and Mini HDMI devices. The only trouble I can see having is with a device that has another nearby port that has to be used at the same time -- this adapter could easily overlap a nearby port and make it so that only one of the two ports could be used at one time. No biggie for my applications, but could be important in yours. In that case, a longer, thinner, cable-oriented adapter would be your best bet.

This connector works well. It provides two different size HDMI outputs; I used it to connect the HDMI out from my Sony Camcorder to the receiver so that I can see the home videos on the tv. The only thing that I did not like is that does not come with a cover to protect the HDMI terminals when nit in use.

This adapter saved the day when I needed to do a work presentation and the facility only had HDMI and my computer only had mini HDMI. But I'm only giving this 3 stars because it is not a sturdy fit for the ports. HMDI cabling is slightly heavy and I had a problem with the adapter slacking and trying to come out because it just couldn't handle staying in the mini port and the weight of the full HDMI connector and cable on the other end.

The adapter does what it says it will do. I got it mainly because of the clearance price, but next time I'd probably go for a different style for my purposes. I will be moving my device quite often and it will be displayed so it just doesn't look appealing to have this big gray adapter sticking out the side and I wonder if the small connection will snap if handled a little roughly, which it might. For me I would just choose a different style adapter next time.

The adapter works fine but it doesn't connect well to the kindle I was using. Found out the kindle I have did not support this type of connection the right way (on netflix the picture was fine but the subtitles on Lillyhammer did not show up on the tv). Also one design flaw is that when I plugged this connecter into the mini hdmi port on the kindle the adapter blocked the charging port. Keep this in mind when you choose this adapter. Otherwise it was fine.

The HDMI adapter is very good tv connectivity tool for connecting various devices with a mini-HDMI port via a normal HDMI cable. The device works well as advertised. I am currently using the HDMI adapter to connect my Nikon Camera to my tv. The HDMI adapter works as advertised. The only reason I did not give it a 5-star was due to price ....IT IS OVER-PRICED. But, I needed an adapter quickly and was willing to pay for the immediate need.

This adapter works and gets the job done, but I'm always leery of leaving something like this sticking out the side of a laptop or, in this case, tablet. The microHDMI slot is just too narrow to give much support if its bumped. A dongle with a small card and right angle adapter would be better. Would still recommend it because it works well.

This product was very easy to assemble. The picture and hook up work just fine.

Worked for my application. I was needing to display my camera screen on a projected screen. Adapter worked but was in the way of the camera mount. Worked around not being able to mount the camera and use the adapter. Not Ideal but I was in a rush.

I've been looking for an adapter so I can connect my tablets and phones via HDMI to my TV's and have been successful with one other product but it broke and is no longer manufactured, then I found this product and it fits my tablets, but not my SG3 phone, but that's okay!! I can now stream all of my movies from my free android app to the TV's with no problem. However, all of my tablets (3 different brands) have the HDMI port 3 slots away from the DC plug in and when you use the adapter you cannot charge the tablet at the same time so that you can have a full charge (only reason why I gave QUALITY a 4 not a 5) throughout the movies but it's okay because the batteries are strong enough to last 4 - 1 hour TV shows or 1 maybe 2 continuous movies. Great product, will be buying 2 more for the other TV's. Thanks Rocketfish and Best Buy!!

It is a bit large in size, but seems very durable.

Just the adapter one needs to connect a tablet, Android, or computer to TV. Compatible with most devices with a micro or mini HDMI connector. Its also 3D-ready so you can enjoy most 3D formats. Easy to use, and its sturdy!!
