I am about 35 miles northwest from the transmitters on Phoenix South Mountain. My first channel scan brought in over 80 channels. Excellent picture quality. It was very easy to install and set up. I attached the antenna to an exterior wall under the eave about 10' off the ground. I painted it to match the exterior wall color. The picture quality is much better than what I previously received from Cox. Now saving over 40 dollars an month after cancelling the Cox standard TV service. Installed the amplifier inside next to the TV. I used a splitter to add a DVR to record. The TV and DVR receive excellent picture quality. This was really a Best Buy for me.

I really did not expect this antenna system to work all that well but it really works great. It comes complete with a signal amplifier and the plug in 120 volt power supply. Being about 45 miles from the broadcast towers plus down in a valley with a tall hill and trees between my home and the towers I expected to at least have to mount the antenna outside 25-30 feet in the air but it picked up every station available at room level. I will mount it when the weather is a little better and I have time but for now it works fine just propped up against a window in the direction of the towers. I ended up buying 3 of these once I found out how well it works. The pic is of the third one my daughter has not received yet. Oh, and it does do well with both uhf and vhf as stated.

Although indoor antennas are okay, they still suffer from obstructions like walls, and station angle. A well-built adjustable outdoor antenna can really give you a stronger signal. I've had mine for 6 months now and I'm pleased overall. I might lose a few stations when I rotate the antenna to pick up others but that's ok.

No need for a glowing review here. This just does exactly what it is supposed to do-- receive digital TV signals. As part of the cord-cutting, we dumped cable and went with IP based TV. But we missed KTCA so I simply bought this on the Deal of the Day and attached it to a fence post at the back corner of my house. I disconnect the cable from the street and connected the Rocketfish cable to the inbound cable in the gray box outside. Inside I added the amplifier and boom! Free TV on all four flat screens in the house. And the quality is excellent.

We have been using an indoor antenna for TV but when a storm came through and took out the station’s antenna, we lost several channels. When they replaced their antenna, it wasn’t the same height and the indoor antenna wasn’t good enough. So, we saw this and thought we’d give it a try. Sure enough - we get all the local channels now.

I bought this antenna "Open Box, Excellent" for a good discount. The box was missing the amplifier, turns out it is THE critical piece for getting the antenna to work properly. Meaning, distribute the signal to all cable outlets throughout the house. So now I am scrambling to buy an amplifier, and they're NOT cheap, nearly $40. Plus the brackets had been cut/drilled marring its appearance.

Actually quite surprised by how well this antenna worked. Stay away from the garbage indoor antennas on the market. The instructions could be better but wasn't hard to figure out.

Excellent reception. I got 91 channels (20+ HD). I live 24 miles from the main tv towers, surrounded by tall trees. Installed at only 10' from ground under roof eave. Sturdy build quality, hard plastic antenna and metal mounting. I am sure it wont disintegrate as my previous antennas during strong winds. Includes 25' of coaxial cable and amplifier, all for $29!. You can't go wrong with this antenna.

Interesting testing out the Rocketfish RF-ANT50UD Amplified Outdoor TV Antenna. I started with it inside by a window connected to our kitchen TV without the amplifier. It pulled in only 4 channels vs 10-15 with our indoor antenna. Next I slid it out the window and tied it to our gazebo frame: same 4 channels. Next set it on top of the roof: same 4 channels. Then I plugged in the amplifier and it grabbed 60 channels less about 10 that were not strong enough. Was it just the amplifier? I hooked the amplifier up to our indoor antenna and it did not help, but it sure helps the outdoor one. So now that I know it will help, I tried it placed on the roof on the other end of the house, this time plugged (with amplifier) into our house cable wiring. Only 40 channels this time. I don't know if it's the location (now behind a tree) or pushing the signal through two splitters and 4-5 coax lines, most 10-15+ years old. I suspect the wiring is the problem. Anyway, the stations it does get include all our local stations that we wanted and couldn't get well with 3 different powered and unpowered indoor antennas. I deducted a star because it's only pulling in 30-40 mile or less range not the higher 40-60 advertised, however, that may be entirely our location. All were low on the roof, not the peak, and final location is about three feet up on a side eaves behind a tree. Works well enough for us. The more distant stations tend to be a repeat of the locals (a second NBC, etc.).

Antenna was fairly easy to set up. If fastening to pole you will have to purchase 2 "U" bolts as none are supplied. (Pole sizes do very). It pulled in nearest stations at farm in E. Washington. The closest about 55 miles away. Picture quality and sound were very good. Haven't yet use in stormy weather. For the price, it does a great job if you don't need all the stations on an expensive satellite dish. Ability to watch NBA playoffs was great.

After reviewing the good feedback from other purchasers, I decided to take a risk to buy this product. At first I wonder why there are so many metallic hardware in the box other than the plastic antenna itself. After reading the instructions, i decide to give a trial to just install the antenna indoor without using the hardware, I was amazed that it gives me such good receptions and so many channels than my old one. I love it. Some day I may decide to install it outdoor once I find a good spot in the roof area. For the time being, just use it as an indoor by hanging it on the wall.

I mounted this off the edge of the roof right beside where the Directv dish was mounted (directly over the eve). I removed the dish and connected the coax cable from the dish to this antenna. I ran a shorter piece of coax from the wall behind our main TV to the amplifier (which came with this antenna) that is connected to the tv. The local fox and nbc stations are notorious for their reception difficulty but they come in very nicely. I did see some choppiness on ABC one day but it was windy so not sure if that was a factor. My other tv has an indoor antenna mounted on the wall above it and ABC is usually good. Overall seems very good and I also bought this on sale for 49.99.

I bought this antenna with speculation. I am a cord cutter because I was tired of spending over $200.00 a month for cable TV. I was using an inside antenna by Mohu, and it was doing good. I had around 29 channels with that antenna. I bought this antenna knowing I could return it if I wasn't happy. I installed it in a tree, about 15' above the ground. My 2-story house is between the antenna and about 5 stations. After hooking it up and scanning with my Tivo, I picked up 77 channels. After eliminating the really weak ones and duplicates, I ended up with over 40 channels. Plus, some channels that were weak are now clear as can be. In the next month or so, I am going to install it on top of my roof with clear direction to all broadcast locations. I can't wait to see the reception then. I highly recommend this antenna. I didn't expect much for the money, yet I received an outstanding deal.

I originally purchased a Mohu - AIR 60 OTA which worked good for 2 months and then could only pull 4-6 channels. I seen the RocketFish on sale when I was going to purchase a replacement amplifier for the Mohu. I am so glad I went with the RocketFish. I was able to mount the RocketFish on the arm and bracket previously installed for the Mohu which saved quite a bit of time. Once I plugged in the RocketFish and scanned for stations I went from 20 -25 channels with the Mohu when it was working to 79 channels with the RocketFish. I have even added a fourth TV to the RocketFish with no loss of signal. I would highly recommend this based on the performance I have experienced so far. Since I have only owned it for 3 weeks, I will have to wait and see how long it lasts. I hope it will serve me for at least a few years but only time will tell.

Works great! Gets me 70+ crystal clear channels at my apartment (on the balcony) which is in a crowded urban area and less than 5 miles from a major airport, both sources of A LOT of interference/congestion.

Set up the new antenna and it was raining so I just put it to the window to see how it would do. It worked well with some channels a little fuzzy. I then put it behind the tv just to see if it would still work and it lost all signal. So the next day I installed it outside on the power pole above the house and picked up even more channels than the day before. Seems to be working fine and don't have to fine tune which direction it faces.
