The light function is cool that didn't know about and overlooked. Yes, it does take up two standard US electrical wall outlets, and only uses the top port, but two ports turn into 6 ports, so a win in the end. The built in 4 USB charge ports are really handy to have as well. I think a little pricey for what you get, but still overall very nice.

I paired this with some power extenders so power bricks wouldn't get in the way of my entertainment center.

The LED button turns on leds lining all ports making it very easy to see, but the stability prong on the back needs to go. Even with all 6 power ports filled, it stays plugged in perfectly fine. Obviously not for super high end or power hungry equipment but it will work for 90% of people.

I was fed up with having u s b chargers all over the house. I still feel that I could use 2 to 4 more USB ports on this. And it wouldn't hurt my feelings. If there were a couple of them that were USB type C. However this was very adequate to help pacify the situation of the magnitude of usb ports and chargers around the house.

I like that it has 2 outlets on each side of the cube, plus USB charger inputs on one side. The outlets have an optional surround light, plus comes with two short extenders, since at least one side is never on the side you need. Well designed, easy to use, effective.

The surge fried 2 other protectors, blew my thermostat and coffee maker and left scorch marks on an outlet. But everything connected to the surge protector was fine.... Highly recommend it.
