    It is a charger and it works. That being said, it fits my Dell laptop connection; however, the connection is a little loose. There are many different connection options for lots of different manufacturer so I can change the connection and charge my old netbook and other devices if I needed to. All these options did increase the price of the product but I was advised by the Best Buy rep that anything happens to this cord (even if the kids damage it) it will be replaced within the 3 years, so I bought it.

    Cheaper and easier than a factory replacement, comes with multiple adaptors so it will work with a veriety of laptops. I actually use it for multiple devices. Its a little bulky in design, but it also has a usb port on thr adaptor which i use to charge my phone with, which is pretty awesome.
