Installing the mount was done in less than 5 minutes, area prepared for the mount was a little extra. Due to weight and size of tV and height of mount above the fireplace it took two people to place the TV. Less than 4 minutes.

Just be sure you're screwing into studs in the wall, otherwise your several thousand dollar TV will rip a hole in your wall.

Tilt vs. fixed

Glad I went with the tilt version. Makes accessing connections, cleaning, etc. much easier. Installed by Geek Square. Thanks Best Buy!

Can't believe there are groupons to pay just for the service of installing it (that doesn't even include one of these nifty contraptions). This is totally the way to go w/ small children around, I have peace of mind now that new tv won't tip over. The base that comes w/ 50" tv seems pointless, it was so wobbly and unstable we couldn't even breathe when kids entered the room. Needless to say, we got TV mount the very next day our new 50" TV came out the box. So luckily for us, we only had to barricade the room for just 1 day, until I mounted to wall, phew!

I had some difficulty attempting to plug the TV into the wall because the wall mount was very close to the wall. It was also nice because it allows the TV to tilt.
