I really does work very well, I’ve got it connected to two Klipsch surround sound (bookshelf style) speakers and it sounds great. No connection issues, it does it all on its own, and you can adjust the output (volume) of the rear speakers from the little amplifier the speakers connect to. No loss of audio quality, no issues with range, you just have to have a power outlet around the rear speakers to plug in the amplifier, mines all hidden behind the couch so no complaining from the wife about seeing wires.
