Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the wireless feature, easy setup, and sound quality of the Wireless Subwoofer Transmitter/Receiver Kit. They appreciate the convenience of not having to run wires across the floor and the fact that the sound quality does not suffer from the wireless connection. However, some customers have experienced issues with delay, low volume, connection problems, limited range, and a few have even reported that they could not get it to work at all.

Good for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product replaced the same thing that was really old. It is a definite improvement. The only thing is that it does disconnect itself if it isn't being used for a while and then it has to reconnect when it is in use. It's slightly annoying but not bad enough to rate the product lower. All in all it's a good product for the price.

Works right out of the box!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this to eliminate HUM from my sub due to long RCA cable run which was picking up interference. I was initially skeptical as I was worried about lag and connection dropping as I have other wireless devices by my receiver. To my surprise this solution simply just works. I plugged in both devices as instructed and it automatically connected and my sub instantly started working literally within minutes of unboxing. The best part is that it auto powers down due to no activity and my sub actually goes into standby mode now whereas it didn't before when I was having issues with the cable. I highly recommend this product and the price is very good considering the price and time a 40+ foot cable run.

Good wireless subwoofer connection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this item with a sub-woofer and I had my A/V receiver auto calibrate the addition of the sub (sub gain at max). The wireless receiver unit is about fifteen feet straight line distance from the wireless sender unit with a clear line of sight between the two (other than an occasional person walking between them). My units were constantly dropping their connection even when nothing has physically changed about the room. After doing some messing around with the speaker settings on my A/V receiver I discovered the signal coming out of the A/V receiver was too weak causing the wireless sender unit to go into standby mode. I maxed out the output level for the sub on my A/V receiver and turned the gain down on the sub and I haven't had a problem since. Rocketfish needs to make these units more sensitive to the audio signal to avoid such problems. Other than the setup issue this is a great product when it's quirk is figured out.

Excellent wireless subwoofer kit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have looked for a wireless subwoofer kit and finally found the best one for me. I have tested a couple low end kits at the $40-ish price with 3.5mm sockets, 2.4Mhz, using a mobile phone chargers to power them ; I had disconnections, noises, booming sound sporadically. I also read that there are interferences with the Internet wireless router. Well, I am happy so say, after hours of listening, none of the issues noticed. I have dual band Internet wireless router and there are no interferences. Some technical aspects, I am powering the sub with Yamaha 3020 and calibrated it with the mic. There isn't lose in any frequency, however there is about 45msec delay. The sub is 6 feet from the listening location and the receiver has set the distance to 56 feet. Make sure your receiver is capable to set high distance to compensate on this latency. The async may be annoying for some audiophile's ears. Net-net, I highly recommend this kit. You get the best value for this price.

Greatest little device ever!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works just like the reviews said it would. Sub sounds amazing I can put it anywhere in the house and it's cristal clear connection is amazing. Just wish the people that work at bestbuy were even a quarter as good as this device is. Ordered online and waited 30 minutes to pick up, even when there were 3 customer service reps doing nothing but just look at me. Even the girl who finally helped me acted as if she was doing me a favor. One of the reasons why I don't like going to best buy anymore, hit and miss on the customer experience.

Riddled with problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will start by saying that, I have had a Rocketfish wireless rear-speaker kit for years that is absolutely great. So, I was excited to get the wireless sub kit. Unfortunately, I wish this unit was better. I have this installed in a medium size bedroom being driven by a brand new Sony receiver that works just fine with a wired subwoofer connection. Wireless span distance is approx 15ft with no major obstructions. 1. The unit frequently seems to quickly go to standby mode. Even in the middle of a song, whenever there is a pause in bass. Then unit takes about a full second to re-engage after bass becomes present. 2. The unit seems to have a internal LPF that is set way too low. 3. There is a perceivable delay in signal. 4. The time this unit takes to get out of standby mode vs the time it takes to enter standby mode is ridiculous. 5. Unlike the rear speaker kit, this kit seems to also lose accuracy of frequency response with transmission. (which is horrible for a unit only designed to transmit less than 100Hz freq range) 6. There seems to be a minimum amount of volume where below a point all transmissions stop. This cutoff of signal is very sharp. This results in periods of low volume audio feeling empty with sudden bursts of bass infill followed by more flat bass free listening. I'm not sure what this kit would be good for. Maybe a home theater setup that was only played at very high volume? I'm not sure. I know for me and my application where it is used for movies, music, TV, games and at various volumes this unit is super frustrating. I will be returning this product for sure.

D for effort
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great idea but in my situation it wasn't acceptable. The signal seemed to only pick up if bass levels were above a specific threshold. There is no configuration for this within the device. Hard wiring my sub with no modifications to settings resolves the issue entirely. When the device did enable the sub, it would result in a loud pop. During a movie at moderate volume, this would happen repeatedly. This does not happen when the sub is hard wired. I adjusted all settings I could find within the receiver and the sub. This device seems to have a hard set threshold for sub signal with no way to modify it to adjust for different setups. It may work for other people, but it did not work for me. Thankfully Best Buy has a good return policy and I'm only out the time it took me to pick it up, install, test and return it. When it did work, it sounded great. I couldn't tell a difference between the sub being wired or connected via this device. This device could be worthwhile if it allowed its sensitivity to be adjusted.

Very good little device
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was try to find an alternative solution to get rid of a humming sound that was coming off my subwoofer due to interference with my cable TV. I tried on multiple location to fix the grounding problem in my building but they simply didn't care. One day i came across these devices and decided to give them a try. What a relief it was for me when i turned on my subwoofer and didn't hear that annoying hum. Another plus is that its wireless, so u could move you subwoofer around without running a long cable. Overall i'm very happy with my purchase. I'm really disappointment that didn't look for this solution earlier. it takes about 5--10 sec to turn on from off position, but i think that its normal.

Great device, worth the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up a Klipsch 12 inch Reference sub open box for a good price, because the wireless versions were a bit out of my price range at the time. Started to regret the purchase when I found the perfect spot for the sub would have to run a long, visible cable. Found this product at my local store, read the reviews and went for it. It works beautifully. I cannot tell the difference in quality, maybe because I am not necessary an audiophile, but this does the job and beyond! Instructions are clear and easy. The receiver unit paired with the "sender" unit immediately upon hook up, and they automatically turn off if there is no sound coming from the TV. Have not had issues so far in about 2 weeks since getting it.

Sort of works sort of doesn't
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In theory, this is a great product. But in reality, it connects and frequently disconnects, meaning you've got to constantly walk to the transmitter and receiver and "reset" them so they can communicate. It's not just every once in a while, either. Every few minutes. The receiver and subwoofer are no more than 20' feet apart, either. If only the clown who built this house had hardwired the sub like he did all the other zones, I wouldn't be in this predicament.

Great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great with my Earthquake sound couch potato sub! Don't pay them 300$ to make it wireless. This requires virtually NO setup and is an 8th of the price!

The little engine that couldn't
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this wireless transmitter/receiver after having done some research into it's pros and cons. Using the device in a large RV in lieu of having to run extensive shielded cable through all the chases, basement, frame, etc. In testing, the unit paired quickly enough, but would have to be re-paired often. The biggest bummer about this product is that the signal to the subwoofer would frequently fade, then disconnect, then eventually return with a loud POP-thud! Within five minutes, I would have lost and regained the signal with it's typical abruptness in reconnection about four to seven times. Obviously unacceptable. The AVR distance to subwoofer is about 10' away. I've read similar reviews for other subwoofer wireless products with similar issues. The problem here is that this one (and other similar devices) fall under "cheap consumer electronics". Highly suspect that this is more the norm for a device for $60 (on up to $200). Wish someone would come out with a high quality version even if it were several hundred dollars. It would be worth it in the long run, but for now, here comes a big project in having to run shielded cable.

Works but very noisy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the rocket fish wireless subwoofer adapter to place my subwoofer approximately 20 feet from my about receiver. I connects easily with only a few wires. That's the good part. Unfortunately it sends a very noisy signal to my subwoofer. It causes popping and humming noises to randomly come from the subwoofer. The adapter seems to work ok at medium to high volumes when the noises are drown out by the music or movie media. While listening at low volume it does not even send a strong enough signal to make the sub operate. It is not a adjustment problem I have another sub connected at the same time with a wired connection and it functions properly. I have also ran an interconnect cable accross the room with no additional adjustment of the sub or AV receiver and it functions properly without the rocket fish adapter in the loop. My recommendation will be to seek out other means of connecting your subwoofer.

Works as described
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works awesome! I’ve been wanting to move my subwoofer for some time. I have a crazy setup in my house so I’ll keep it short. Moved the subwoofer to the desired location, plugged in the components and it works. Actually works awesome. Not sure why everyone is having so many problems with hooking it up and pairing. Took me 15 minutes.

Worked but with intermittent pops.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hooked up and it worked straight away. No delay, and the bass was excellent. However, at low volumes (with not much bass present) it would intermittently pop (boom) randomly. I made sure the receiver wasn't near my wifi router, turned off the 2.4 Ghz router downstairs but it would still happen. So i'm returning and trying a different brand.

Gets Two Stars because it does work. Died in a YR
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So it does work and is easy to set up. I am sure there is a delay it being wireless. It just died today after exactly a Year and One Month. So quality sucks from that perspective. I would not recommend it based on how long it lasts. Rocketfish if you are listening I need a replacement receiver.

You get what you pay for - which is not that good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It barely worked at all. Connected right out of the box but in use the sub-woofer cut in and out unless the volume was very high. Would not work at low volume at all. Waste of money. I took it back.
