They appreciate the convenience of not having to run wires across the floor and the fact that the sound quality does not suffer from the wireless connection. However, some customers have experienced issues with delay, low volume, connection problems, limited range, and a few have even reported that they could not get it to work at all.

After we installed our Home Theater system, and spent way too much money having all of the speakers wired through the ceiling and walls, we realized that the subwoofer was way to close to both the wall and a furniture piece (causing BOTH to rattle)! We thought we were out of luck, and since the walls and ceiling had long since been closed back up, we thought that buying a new wireless subwoofer would be the only solution. Problem with that, aside from just spending A LOT of money on a KEF reference sub, was that our receiver was located in the next room, in an AV closet, and wouldn't have direct line of site to the subwoofer (which, from what we saw online, most/all needed). Needless to say, we were very frustrated... That was, until we found this cheap (but effortless/amazing) solution!!! This thing works EXACTLY as promised, and then some. There's been one or two instances where it lost the signal, but it is such an easy fix that it's almost a non-issue (just need to press the link button on either the transmitter or receiver). Overall, I can't say enough good things about this product... I was hesitant to buy a RocketFish product (only because I had never used them before), and I must say I was wrong to be!!! AAA++++++++

Works well but with a thump!

Works well and comes on when it should and its wonderful not to have other wires that would lead from the receiver to under the couch where the sub woofer is planted. However, just like in the other reviews this transmitter must be shutting off and on when not needed, even during the action. You'll know this because it shuts on or off with a loud thump. Once it comes alive it works fine but when there is call for intermittent sub woofer performance you can get several of those thumps during the action segment. I can live with it but wish it didn't do that.

I was hesitant about trying one of these for the simple fact that wireless technology doesn't always give great sound reproduction... I can't however really tell a difference from when it was wired.

Here's the issue with this product. It goes to sleep after two minutes or so. So if no basis signal is sent in two minutes, it has to be woke up. That requires it to send a bass tone or something like that to the woofer. The woofer will thud then continue like it should. Got to the point where we couldn't stand it anymore. Music worked great because of constant bass, but anything else just was annoying to tolerate. There is no setting to change length of time before it goes into sleep mode.

Works really good except it does always send a signal to the sub. Sounds like a very faint heartbeat when everything is off. Can barely hear, but still annoying. For the price, great deal.

    Great Wireless Solution

I was looking for a wireless solution to connect a second subwoofer to my home theater in our recently finished basement. I had the builders install a grate so I could put a subwoofer behind a wall with the other equipment. As I have another subwoofer, I thought you can never have too many subwoofers. My problem was the audio connection to the 2nd sub. I found this wireless subwoofer solution. I have tried wireless solutions before but the wireless phone and the microwave oven always caused loud pops and snaps. I plugged this in to the sub and my receiver and turned it on. What a great product! The sound is great with no distortion! No more pops and snaps! When things are powered down, this powers down as well. As soon as I start my system, this automatically powers up and works well! I would highly recommend this for a sub. Added great bass punch to my system!

I originally set this up on my surround sound unit because I needed it be wireless. We rearranged our living room and the way the wires would have been installed it would have been in the way and people would be tripping over them. This was (what I thought) the solution to my problem. I was thinking this is awesome! Exactly what I was looking for! The set up process was pretty simple and straight forward but shortly after it was set up I cut the volume up on the unit to test this out.. And man, I was disappointed. First, in order for the wireless units to pick up a signal you have to cut the volume way up. This is an issue when you have a need to watch movies at a low volume. Second, when the volume is not turned up, there's a hum coming from the rear speakers and sub. I'm assuming this is the wireless units looking for or picking up a bad signal and passing this through the speakers set up. Needless to say, this is a little annoying. It got so bad that unfortunately I couldn't stand it any longer and just returned the items back. I ended up going with a soundbar. easy set up and cheap. Not my first choice of course because I wanted my own speakers to work and I wanted my sub to blow me away but that didnt seem to work out. This was very disappointing to say the least out of this product, but Best Buy always takes care of me and didnt have any issues returning the items.

I attached this wireless system to my Klipsch subwoofer. It is great to be able to hide the bass anywhere I want to. Given the fact that bass frequencies are nondirectional, putting the bass in a convenient place is nice. The only reason I didn't give the system 5 stars is that I have had the sending and receiving units loose communication when the stereo was turned off and had to repair the system. Its not a big headache but caused some unnecessary trouble shooting the first time it happened.

Used this product to send my subwoofer signal wirelessly to the other side of my living room, about 15 ft away. Does not require direct line of sight. Strong signal with a couch and entertainment center in the way of the transmitter and receiver. There is a short delay in switching the units on once they sense signal, but I have not noticed any delay in sub response once active. No interference with the other 2.4G devices in my home and no hum through the subwoofer, which was a concern before purchase.

I've had this for about 6 weeks now and the units are working great. The transmitter and receiver were paired out of the box, so all I had to do was plug them in. I am sending the signal from my Pioneer Elite receiver to my Sunfire TrueSub 25 feet away. I was able to remove the ugly RCA cable that was running along my baseboard and clean up the look of the room. So far, I cannot tell any delay issues or signal loss and these have been working 100% perfectly.

This made my subwoofer Just Rock! I have an older powered unit, and the wire across the floor didn't work in my busy household. so its behind my couch, and the lamp share the same outlet, out of site and really sounds awesome. we watched the star wars movie and I found myself ducking in the fight scenes. So the only thing I can suggest to improve would be to plug it into your amplifier for power, so it can be turned off when not in use.
