Rocksmith was easy to set up for a total beginner, it walks you through basic tuning and slowly gets harder as you go along so it never gets dull. My only complaints are the price of new songs and sometimes bending strings didn't register. Still, I liked the game so much I bought a second copy for a friend learning the bass

I used to play the guitar when I was younger but after years have completely forgot. With RockSmith it's like doing the old school note books with songs in them. Know we can know if we are propery learning the song as you go.

This is a great game. Imagine Guitar Hero but with an actual guitar! If you use all that the game has to offer you will become a better guitar player. I guarantee it. Just stick with it and have fun. Most importantly, ROCK ON!

Not so great for people who already have some knowledge and the game is too basic at first and is frustrating

Only a few days in and it has been great so far. Doesn't feel like a boring guitar lesson. I'm new to guitar so it will take longer to learn. But This makes learning guitar fun. Just stick with it! You can do it!

I have very little experience with playing my guitar, other than painfully attempting playing chords from a book. Rocksmith made it much more enjoyable and I definitely recommend this to anyone.

The format of the training section is such that anyone can pick up a guitar and start playing songs in a short amount of time. For the amateur player, it's a great exercise and test of your skills.

Great tool for learning guitar. Unfortunately I have not been able to get myself to commit to playing every day, it is extremely fun. The 2 player aspect is also great. I am hoping to get a bass guitar soon so my wife and I can use it to learn tunes together.

got this to teach myself how to play the guitar and so far its proven to be a great learning tool. Makes learning the guitar fast and easy. Would recommend this to anyone.

As a beginning guitarist, this is a solid way to get playing as often as you want. Also, need DLC songs every week. A lot aren't my taste, but a lot are. Yes you can learn guitar with this as an aid. Not a game, but a prctice tool on your gaming system.

Having started and stopped guitar lessons at three different stages in my life, this kind of a nice go at your own pace. Like the setup and the ease of understanding.

Aside from my fingers getting sore, this is a great way to learn to play guitar. Much easier than watching YouTube videos and trying to figure it out.

I was already a guitarist but wanted to try this out. Menus are easy to use and it levels up at your pace. I wish that DLC songs were cheaper though.

The only reason I'm giving it a 4-star is because this is a remastered version of the 2014 version and I'm peeved that I had to get this even though I own the original. It is absolutely a must have game if you want to learn guitar, are a basic player or just an enthusiast. The way it play is that it ramps up the difficult based on your skill. I'm a learner and so I had fun learning to play the guitar and having fun with the game itself. You do require an electric guitar and the real tone cable is long enough for you to be at a comfortable distance from the TV and enjoy the game. Get it, if you havent already.

I've owned Rocksmith since the first version came out. While 2014 was a significant improvement on the original, the Remastered version is an improvement on that. Like any "learning tool" this is only good if it keeps you interested with approachable and relevant content. The mini-games struggle to find balance and sometimes the note tracking is too forgiving to embed proper technique. I really feel the lessons could be more varied. Overall a great tool nonetheless and a franchise that I'm excited to see continue.

Worth the buy if you are interested in learning guitar. Much better time spent than guitar hero since you are learning how to play.

My son just started playing guitar this year and had wanted this game to help him with his learning...he has spent hours upon hours playing his guitar with this game and LOVES it! Great investment :)
