It's a game - that's extremely fun by the way - that teaches you to play the guitar.....what's not to like

This is a fun way to begin learning the real guitar, however, it is still the real instrument and challenging. It should also probably be combined with guitar lessons to make sure the player does not pick up bad habits since the game cannot tell posture, etc. Otherwise, the game works as advertised. It can work with both electric and acoustic guitars with electric pick ups.

Was a gift for my daughter who wants to learn guitar and she loved it

I have been playing guitar professionally for many years. And was looking for something fun that i could play and practice at the same time. This game exceeded my expectations by far. I find myself playing for 4hrs at a time and not even realizing it. Keeping my fingers strong and techniques in point. For all levels from starters to pro will enjoy this

This is my 4th copy due to friends always wanting a copy and me being too generous... If you enjoy guitar or want to learn its fantastic. Even if you can play being able to have a friend who is maybe not as high of a skill level as you this is perfect. Allows the two of you to "jam" together without the frustration of doing it by ear in a garage.

I have been playing guitar for a few years, but I was self taught through videos online and tabs. This game is an easy (and fun) way to learn new techniques and scales. Good songlist. I would recommend this for anyone, beginner or expert. It will help you learn a lot faster than most programs, at a fraction of the cost.

Rocksmith 2014 Edition is easy to use and learn on the Xbox One

for the gamers that want to learn how to play.. need a guitar with an electric amp hookup. I've played this on the PC and it was fun.. i had to quit when my fingers started hurting, but from what i hear, you have to keep playing to develop calluses before it quits hurting. I'll try it again probably, but wanted to give this to my son since he uses xbox one.

Was surprised at how easy the set up was. Was very pleased at the included self tuner for what ever instrument you were playing. I love the tutorial aspect of it and the mini guitar riffs you can learn in a easy step by step fashion. A great way for kids to learn how to play the guitar

I have only used this briefly but so far it seems to be easy to use. It has little mini games that puts what you have learned to use. It does teach you about the guitar for people who are inexperienced. It has a built in tuner so no real need to purchase an external.

This game does well on teaching the basic mechanics of playing guitar. I love that the songs start to get complicated as I get better. Also, a word of advice, do not skimp on your guitar. The game has a hard time with tuning if your guitar is cheap.

This product works to actually teach you how to play a real guitar rather than some Rockband fake guitar thing. It actually does work, but it takes time and patience. Be careful of the cord, it is very sensitive and can break easily.

I've wanted to play the guitar for a long time but I have never had the patience. I give Rocksmith 15 minutes a day and I am up to Hammer Ons and Pull Offs, didn't even know what that was 2 weeks ago. I can't play yet but I'm on my way!

Would have given it 5 stars if we could add songs somehow. Still fun to learn and play.

I don't have any guitar experience and on a whim bought an electric guitar to play around with...I purchased Rocksmith to help learn how to play, and I've been happily surprised at the ease in which I'm learning! Love it!

What a great way to learn the guitar. My son and I have been having a lot of fun with this game. Easy to understand and easy to do. A great way for anyone that has ever wanted learn to play the guitar to get started.

In your own mind, your own home, and for beginners wanting to learn how to rock a guitar. This is a fun way to meld a "actual guitar" and learn a "real" instrument. (Sorry guitar hero, or rock band).

I bought this game in order to learn how to play the guitar and it seems to be helping. I have only played for a couple of hours, but the learning moves at my pace. I'm pleased with the game so far.

Your playing the game, having fun with friends and family, at the same time it's like learning to type on a computer...muscle memory ...before you know it your playing. Don't get much easier.
