Im not a graphic snob so i dont mind running the games on lower mode for the best performance. I’ve had it for a few weeks now and I’m enjoying it very much. I got it at a great price too with an open box deal.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.At first glance, this seems like a very good choice for portable gaming device with the bonus of having windows 11, which is been known for its defects, but still in all the versatility of a computer in your hand, along with gaming capability. After spending some time, waiting for the thing to set up I soon found out that it has an absolute horrible battery life and gets overheated relatively quick. I seriously think there are better options out there. I would rather get a backbone for my iPhone and go to that route.

We do understand your concern about thermal issues and battery life.
The battery will discharge faster that normal while gaming or running application that requires more system resources. In order to improve or prolong the battery charged time, please try to do a battery calibration manually. To start with, please drain it completely then charge it fully without using the system. Once fully-charged, please use the laptop, without the AC adapter connected, and drain let the battery drain completely again. Please repeat the charging process thereafter. Also, please verify if the unit is running with the most current system update and third-party battery draining applications are not running in the background if not in used.
It is normal that excessive heat is generated while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.

Great system but needs setup...

Fingerprint scanner runs well without any cases but its hard to use with a case. Touch screen is good... buttons respond well. Would definitely recommend. Faster processor would be nice but not 100 dollars more nice.

The unit feels like cheap plastic and isn’t worth the plastic it’s in. Small hand held pc that last for maybe one hour so it’s a must you keep ot plugged in. System crashes when attempting to switch between gaming and pc functions. Wish I left it on the shelf and never purchased

This is not the kind of quality to expect from ASUS products and it's not the norm. Based on the issues described, we recommend updating the BIOS. It is recommended to download and update the BIOS and firmware for system performance optimization. The update takes a few minutes, please do not turn off the device during the process to avoid a critical problem that the system cannot be turned on. Performs better than my expectation, especially with the VRR display and FSR for upscaling. This makes it able to run pretty everything that I play smoothly, although at a lower resolution.
