Amazing love how easy it is to play set up might take longer but that’s all once you start it up it’s easy to play most games on the go

I was at first disappointed that I could not play all my Xbox games previously bought. But then, I realized that was on Microsoft and not on Asus.

Solid, nicely designed. Can run many games including horizon 5, black myth wukong, EAFC25.

It’s been fun playing on it but battery doesn’t last long. I can play for 3 hours before I have to go sit by a wall plug.

Not portable enough. The ergonomics are too overdone.

Nice could use a longer lasting battery but i like it still

wound up returning it in lieu of the soon to come out Microsoft player which has superior hardware and programming. Also feedback on the joysticks drifting... These things are too expensive to be buggy

Asus Rog Ally X which is the newest line up from Asus in the portable gaming market. Some of the hardware specs: 1080p 120hz screen, 500 nits. 24gb ddr5 ram, AMD Ryzen Z1 cpu. Lots of other things I won't go into but its a well built machine. This is based on a windows OS and does in fact run windows under the hood which is a bit more clunky imo over the steam deck. I had to wait over an hour after turning it on for the system to update and become available, feels like this should have been done prior to shipping. Once you are into armory crate, their all in one solution for gaming, setup is fairly easy. Link your favorite game accounts and get off to gaming. All the AAA games I ran were buttery smooth at the 1080 resolution, battery life was rock solid thanks to the 80wh battery. I felt like it stayed relatively cool in my hands. The screen is a touch smaller than the steam deck but the PPI on it is rock solid. It comes with a 1tb ssd so plenty of room for all your media. If you are a power windows user you may welcome the fact that the custom OS is built on top of Windows but it a touch annoying dealing with windows logging in setting up a microsoft password if you don't have a microsoft already. Get ready to be battered by microsoft if you don't btw. It's nice to have some competition in the market but this one fell just a little short for me. I own a steam deck and if you set this down next to it I don't think this would be the one I gravitate towards each time. I would have liked to have seen a more robust screen (OLED anyone?) I also had some trouble interacting with the text boxes in windows but maybe the can be worked out in future updates. I would recommend a bluetooth mouse and keyboard to make your initial setup less clunky and user friendly. They also included two very cheap plastic holders that act as a stand, but they feel weak and not fully fleshed out almost like a freebie they tossed in the box. I would invest in something sturdier for longevity. The customization you can accomplish inside the system is on point tons of customizable macros and hotkeys so you can tailor the system to your needs. It feels a tad overwhelming but if you want the freedom, ASUS has given it to you. If you are looking to jump into portable gaming I don't think you would be overly disappointed here but if you are already hanging onto a steam deck I'd keep hanging on personally.

Love the power on this device.on turbo mode plays AAA titles with ease. Just keep the original charger for the faster charging otherwise it’ll take a while.

Very good device. Just keep in mind that most window handheld devices aren’t the easiest to work with but once you understand it, it’s worth it.

When i bought it i loved it but then after a few days it seemed more like something you get if you will do almost all your gaming on it i would recommend it after more games get supported

The hardware was amazing, windows 10 / 11 is the reason I decided to return it. It is such a pain to navigate on such a small screen. Gaming is great if you love the portable aspect.
