Highly recommend this if you want to enjoy more games that are currently in your backlog. This handheld is perfect for a lot of games that tend to get put aside. I usually enjoy higher demand games and 1st party blockbuster titles. With this handheld I enjoy time on the couch, stay closer to the family and find new favorite games I never would have pulled up on my pc or PlayStation or Xbox etc

Runs all the games i want and has a better battery life than the older model. If you have the xtra cash I would recommend this

While the Ally X is not quite worth an upgrade from a normal Ally, it is 100% worth it if you’re coming in fresh. This device is a gaming beast and can handle AAA games easily with 30+ FPS. Battery life is also a huge improvement over the normal Ally.

I love this gaming device, overall it was a great investment that i love using and my husband enjoys playing as well. The screen is awesome, the functionality is awesome. The only thing i would add is a backlight for the buttons

I love this handheld! It is a beast and can play most any game you throw at it. The versatility is amazing. I think battery life on all of the handhelds are mediocre but this can get you a good 2 hrs on max settings with most AAA games. If you are playing with lower settings you can get more from it. I am happy with the purchase and see myself using it for many years to come.

Had this device for over a year & I love it. I may have finished more games on my Ally C than on my PS5 & series x combined. I pair this with my Onexgpu & a 1440p monitor & I’m able to play my games at 60fps or higher with 1440p resolution. Battery can go in 2 hours or less but I keep a power bank with me for travel or if I’m home & not connected to the external you, I have a 12ft usb c cable & I’m comfortably gaming on the couch. From triple a games to indies it handles them all. I have no need to upgrade to the newer Xbox ally x.

Love this thing! Awesome handheld gaming experience. Fast, crisp graphics. At this point couldn’t be happier. Won’t sell my Xbox but this is a great addition to the gaming devices I own.

The Battery life is the biggest plus for me, Z1 Extreme chip means that i get an incredible gaming experience on most AAA titles with very few graphical adjustments. Pair this with a Jsaux Case and you’ve got an incredibly confortable console.

While release day was… something, that was mostly on Best Buy I suspect, so I will let this review focus on the device. So far the it’s been a dream, the armory crate has great QOL features, and so far the Ally X has handled everything I’ve thrown at it, really quietly for that matter. My only minor complaint is that the device could be more ergonomic, it can get somewhat uncomfortable with longer gaming sessions.

After months of having the Rog Ally X, I have some points about it. I like it very much, the Rog Ally will work for video games but also other applications like Microsoft 365 and jobs. While it may look like a gaming pc, it can most certainly be used for work. Also, you can connect the Rog Ally to a monitor for a bigger screen and use the components of the Rog Ally like an actual computer and not use the controller parts. I believe that it was worth it saving up money to get the Rog Ally X.

A handheld device on steroid with the battery life is outstanding, the OLED screen would it be nice but with the standard screen is good enough for me, the showstopper is the battery and the fact that the sd card slot does not burn out is awesome.

Should have bought this instead of a gaming laptop. Yes this has performance limitations but the portability and compatibility with most if not all games is a worthy trade off. I love my ally X!

Amazing gaming console. I use it in handheld mode or sometimes use an external monitor. I even used it to back up pictures while on vacation. Battery life is great and the controls are comfortable in handheld mode.

Fantastic handheld console/computer. I take my ROG ALLY X, just about everywhere I go and I also use it as my main side PC. I recently installed bizziate Linux on it and it’s even better. I definitely recommend getting your hands on one.

Have both this and the legion go. Performance wise the ally x is better. I had the legion first but when it comes to portability I’ll get the ally over the legion go

Great device but do yourself a favor and just install steamos especially since it's incredibly easy now. You'll get better performance and battery life. I have the original ally and doing side to side benchmarks the x with steam os is better off for fps and seems to have better battery life since it doesn't start draining as quickly as the original.

This is my first hand held pc and I muat say I'm blown away by the battery! The battery last long and the device stays cool during my game time. It may not be for everyone because the screen size is smaller than the Legion Go but its still amazing.

This handheld feels top notch and battery life is great. Get about 2:30 - 3 hrs of gameplay depending on title.

Currently running battlefield on it, a little laggy but can’t believe it runs. Black ops zombies runs amazing though, Star Wars battlefront runs sooooooo smooth. Amazing product
