absolutely love it-you can safely skip the z2 unless you reeeally want cutting edge great dpad for fighting games and the dbrand skin for this (along with everything else they make) is fantastic and has the best grip youll ever have for a portable console games run great and the screen is sharp and bright and is flicker free -no pwm flicker like the steam deck thankfully

It's a really great machine. Windows is a little clunky on it but that's just Windows. It'll run a lot of games pretty well. You should probably have it plugged in while playing resource intensive games since it'll suck the battery dry really quick.

Hands down the best pound for pound handheld on the market. If you know how to slim down Windows 11, remove all the bloat and disabled services,it gets even better. With FSR3 or RSR and Frame Gen 2 I never see under 100FPS

This machine is excellent for AAA gaming. Frame rate is great, very little to no lag and easy to navigate if you are familiar with windows 11.

I was actually quite reluctant to purchase this handheld at first. I wanted so much to love the original Legion Go but it had too many negatives to continue using. Primarily the speaker quality, ergonomics and fan whine. This, although still not exactly quiet, is much more enjoyable to use. I don't mind the smaller display and it's comfortable to hold for extended time so I never feel fatigued while gaming. It's perfect. The price point is fairly high but I believe you're getting a premium product here. I would definitely recommend this Ally X to anyone who wants a great way to play games while traveling or just in bed/on the couch. I don't regret my purchase at all. A+

Bought the device about a year ago by now, ended up selling it. It was great when I had it, good performance and the shape was alright. Only issue I had with it was the screen was a bit small. I'd definitely recommend it if you don't want to get the new generation of Xbox Allys.

I love this! I upgraded from the normal ROG ally and the extra RAM for the IGPU is a huge help. I mainly upgraded due to the serviceability of this one, but obviously the bigger battery and new cooling it is way more quite even on turbo mode.

I'm not someone who plays video games regularly since I don't know much about them, but this console is perfect. It's super easy to use (like a computer system), and its performance is excellent. I've played games like Halo, Call of Duty, Palworld, FIFA, and many others, and none have had the slightest issue (any minor details have been more about developer compatibility, not due to ASUS). I 100% recommend it, honestly.

The ROG Ally X is a fantastic upgrade from my Steam Deck. It runs modern titles at reasonable frame rates and allows me to take my entire gaming library with me. Definitely the best handheld PC available.

love the console, it's a portal computer, now I can play all my games on steam and other gaming platform anywhere I go. Planning to take it during my travel and loving the product!

Great performance and 24gb RAM means you can safely allocate 8gb to VRAM which is huge for modern AAA games running consistently smooth without awful 1% lows. IPS screen has really good motion clarity at 120hz. I ended up returning it after a few days because it's just not comfortable at all to play while seated. I tried changing posture and arm position but the thing is too heavy and not comfortable in the hands. It's a shame the screen isn't bigger as well. 7" at 16:9 feels small, the Steam Decks 7.4" at 16:10 feels like the bare minimum. I don't know why ASUS chose to go smaller.

The device runs great, and as long as you limit your expectations on performance, theres no downside to owning it. Battery life isnt great when playing graphics intensive games. Something like Call of duty you can expect about 1.5 hours if you have the device in silent mode. Turbo mode you can expect about 30-45 minutes. Im returning mine only because its really hard to go from a high-end 1440p 140hz build that could run almost anything on ultra, to a 10 inch screen that struggles to run 1080p at 30fps. I can really recommend this to anyone thats playing on a low-end ddr4 build, but if you ever owned anything with a 2080 super or better, youll end up disappointed in the graphical capabilities of this thing. For what its worth, i do not think that there is a better handheld on the market and this would fit 95% of people looking for a handheld.

Get it, install a 2TB SSD, partition it, install bazzite and be happy. I got steamdeck, lenovo legion go, rog ally and now ally x. The battery is much better than the last model and on par with the steam deck, I do recommend using bazzite to improve battery life and try the sweet sleep/resume that comes with steam os.

Couldn't be happier with this purchase! Great quality screen, easy to use controls, pre-installed software makes it easy to setup accounts and get great graphics from all of my games.

Best Handheld on the market, definitely recommend a grip skin but gaming has been great all around no matter what game. These devices are heavy however.
