I use the ROG Ally X daily and have no issues running AAA games. With some tinkering using AMD Adrenalin, it handles everything well. The only downside is the screen size, which could be larger for an even better experience. Overall, a great handheld!

love the console, it's a portal computer, now I can play all my games on steam and other gaming platform anywhere I go. Planning to take it during my travel and loving the product!

I bought it a month ago, and I'm already having issues with the device. The right joystick has a weird movement, and the RT button sounds like the spring is rusted. They told me they won't accept a return because 15 days have passed.

Amazing! My fiance has a ps5 and uses the tv, so I wanted something portable so I could sit on the couch with him and play. I am amazed by the picture quality and loading speed. I am not a hardcore gamer (came from playing on switch) but even my fiance is amazed by the quality of this hand-held!

The ROG Ally X is a fantastic upgrade from my Steam Deck. It runs modern titles at reasonable frame rates and allows me to take my entire gaming library with me. Definitely the best handheld PC available.

I absolutely love this gaming handheld it’s my favorite gaming device it plays all the games i never thought i could play on the go. Would highly recommend this to anyone who travels or just likes to go places

Feels great to hold and the screen's specs are not only amazing, but adjustable! I love gaming on this device.

First things first, the Ally X is a 5 star device. I love this thing so much, perfect in every way. I give this 3 stars because you have to give your money and trust to ASUS. I have had this for 4 months or so and I have to sontact support ever 2 weeks becuase there has been an issue with registering the device for the warranty. I reach out, they say "we are so sorry and care about you and will fix this", then say its fix, it still shows error and then the cycle continues. It just show that the other rumors or facts about them doing things to get out of the warranty on there devices, look into the ASUS Motherboard fiasco. The hard ware is great but the support and software is not. Plus, the hardware is great but it is inconsistent. I bought the ally x had to return it to Best Buy becuase it was bricked and the second one worked great. When it works its incredible. Best Buy is also great with their return policy. Bought a monitor from Micro Center and two died before I got one that worked for more than 2 weeks. Again, when it works its incredible. Agin, Micro Center is great too with their return policy. Summary. Buy this only at a third party that has a great return policy and offers their own warranty. Or buy the Legion Go. Not as good of a product but don't hear the consistent complaints about it. Chances are you will not have an issue with Ally X but if you do, do you really want to but your faith in a company that has proven to not support their customers or stand by their products to fix this incredibly expense handheld? 5/5 Ally X ----100/10 ASUS

I recently upgraded from the standard Ally. I’ve had multiple issues with this specific device black screening randomly, with no input response or audio while actively gaming. No inputs resolve the issue. Only solution is to hold the power button until the system powers down. After attempting to contact Asus support, I was placed on hold for over an hour until I finally heard someone pickup the line and then immediately hang up the phone. Strongly considering a return if the EC restart I performed doesn’t resolve the issue.

Perfect gaming handheld. Have no complaints. Run a cool and stirage is upgradeable.

This thing is great, I mainly bought it to play some Retro games on some emulators. I play tekken 8 on it time to time but its mid settings. I didn't like the 1tb ssd it wasnt enough but I bought a WD 2TB to expand that on top of a 1tb micro sd card. The biggest Con on this is the D-PAD. It literally is in the worst place since i happen to touch the screen when using it time to time. Not only does it mess with me because of fingerprints but some emulators react to the tapping which enter/exit full screen mode during gameplay. IF the D-PAD mimic'd a Dualsense D-pad or even Switch Pro, this would be perfect.

I was hesitant to purchase at first, but I'm very happy with the graphics, variety of games available to use and performance overall including battery life. I have been playing Uncharted 4 and it works perfectly. Resident Evil 4 and Fallout 4 work great as well. It's like a Steam Deck, but with better options in regards to the games you can play. 5/5

This is a big improvement over the original ally from last year or even the Steam Deck Oled that I use almost daily. I do wish it had an OLED screen but that's just being picky. As a person with bigger hands (XL nitrile gloves for ex.) it's not quite as comfortable as my SD but I think it's just a learning curve of how to grip it. Battery life in games like Ghost of Tsushima or The First Descendant I am getting about an hour longer at the 17w preset and much higher frames with smoother frame pacing. I will probably end up upgrading the SSD to a 2tb or more in the future just to have more games installed than I will probably play. I think if you are in the market this is worth the extra cash if you can afford it if not grab the SD OLED

Ive been using the Ally X for the past few months now and its amazing! I suffered a back injury that left me bedridden for afew months and this allowed me to continue playing my favorite games. Once again asus has continued to earn my business,wether it be motherboards and graphics cards,or mobile gaming solutions!

plays any game your throw at it. Battery life is great and can easily last 3 hours

I am not the demographic this item gets. I am a 56 year old gamer and last month began possibly needing readers. The battery, the screen, the feel are all above 3 stars.... What makes it 3 stars is Windows and even worse it's Windows 11 which has so many issues in regards to connections. I hope to update this review but am also considering returning it as I won't be traveling as much as I thought i would. Asus did great and it might be AMAZING with a different OS like Steam OS. 3 stars because it doesn't work well for me. The excitement was short lived with the 3 days of updates.
