First step into the PC world, let alone a handheld one. Debated for so long between this and the Steam Deck OLED. I’m loving it so far. A powerful machine and it’s cool learning about all the different settings. I do have friends to help me understand it all but if you want a simpler experience maybe the Steam Deck is a better option. As much as I wanted to pick up and play, it was worth going through all the setups and being patient before using it. I deleted most of the Microsoft bloatware as I am using this strictly for gaming.

This thing is great and finally allowed me to play my Steam backlog now that I can do it anywhere. You can install SteamOS on it now (or even dual boot) and have the best of both worlds. Highly recommend.

The ROG Ally X is a big step up from the original Ally. Performance is excellent for a handheld, especially for PC games, emulation, and Game Pass. The larger battery makes a noticeable difference, and the extra RAM helps with multitasking and newer titles. Windows still isn’t perfect on a small screen, but once set up, it’s a very capable portable gaming PC.

Solid system, runs really well and stays fairly cool

I love love this this is my first Rog Ally and I'm really enjoying it super fast 10 out of 10 the battery life is great surpasses my steam deck.

This is an awesome handheld, can literally play tripple A games, mostly on low setting and on turbo boost(cod and eldin ring). It looks amazing and moves smootly. I only got this for the emulation and can’t wait to get started on that. Great investment, wont recommend the original ally because of its battery.

Best gaming handheld system I have owned. You will not regret this purchase. My Nintendo Switch has been officially replaced. Enjoy playing all the great steam games so far this year. I have gotten a wireless mouse and will soon get a wireless keyboard.

AMAZING!!! This is what we should've received day 1. Anyhow, I LOVE how quite it is under silence and performance mode! I love there isn't any whining noise coming out of it, the main reason I did not nor won't go for a Legion Go. I hope they keep these features, including the VRR, on the generations to come. Something like the ROG ALLY X but with a bigger LCD screen would be amazing, at least for me. --OLED is gorgeous, but it gives me headache in short periods of time don't know why. Great work ASUS, KEEP IT UP!!! I AM BECOMING A LOYAL FAN!

The Ally X is crazy good handheld. Easy to us and well built. ASUS knocked it out of the park with this one.

Super quiet games play really well easy to set up love it

I love it this become my main PC straight up VR works great with it and anything I throw at it it runs like amazing some titles you'll have to tweak but with the operating system it makes like flicking a switch running Spider-Man 2 at 60 frames price can be a little hard for what you're getting definitely say wait for a sale but I have no regrets with this purchase have a good day !

As someone who owns the steamdeck ( NON OLED ) Rog Ally and now the Ally X. I can tell you right now this thing is a beast. I want to give it 5 stars however mine came with a small dead pixel on the top left which bugs me but that might just be a personal issue going on in my head but I wouldn't fault it to Asus these things are mass produced not hand made. I can play the games that I want on the couch or on the go I absolutely love this thing I am so glad they made a bigger battery that to me was the selling point and the generous ram as well helps big time. Today was my first day flying overseas with this thing and boy oh boy she treated me well the entire flight. Be sure to get accessories like battery pack/foldable keyboard etc and you'll have a blast.

Nice upgrade from the previous model. Double the battery, more storage and ram, and better placement for the SD slot. The D-pad is much better too.

This is the best pc handheld it just works you can use mods and do al the adjustments that you would do on your typical pc and with the other handheld price rising you can find this one a little bit cheaper and it works as a premiem one

This handheld device is impressive and offers a great gaming experience. I personally enjoyed playing on it a lot. However, getting used to the device itself took some time. One downside is dealing with frequent Windows updates, which can be quite annoying. Additionally, the process of booting up games isn’t as fast or convenient compared to other handhelds like the Steam Deck, which handles this aspect much better. That said, it’s a powerful device capable of running AAA games smoothly, making it a solid choice for gamers seeking high performance.

Amazing hand held and keeps up with all the games play. Coming standard with 1TB of storage is also great.

This is the first true handheld gaming pc I’ve owned. We have a Switch, but it does not come close to this thing. I’ve had several desktop gaming pc’s with 30 series Rtx gpus. This thing plays all games I’ve tried without any issues. Only possible downside is Windows 11. I don’t mind it but would rather have something resembling Steam os. Not a deal breaker for me though. I’ve not had any of the issues I’ve seen online, such as squeaking top buttons. Overall very satisfied with it!
