Had the original ally and all it needed was a better battery. Now that it does I've retired my Steamdeck oled and exclusively use the Ally X. Even with "only" an IPS panel the side by side with my Oled is so minimal its not worth going to for less performance. All the youtube videos are accurate, thr battery life is so much better even on high TDP.

The Rog ally has been a lot of fun. I don't play video games too much, but I went on a cruise back in February and it was great to use when I didn't have WiFi.

The entire console was improved compared to the previous one. I would have liked an OLED screen, but this one still meets expectations.

So far I love it, takes a little bit of getting used to when the only handhelds you have had were a phone or a Nintendo Switch but this thing is miles past both. Great having a handheld gaming "laptop" and much easier to take around than my Acer Nitro 5 17"!

Amazing hand-held gaming device! Can play almost everything I throw at it (with some setting adjustments) but usually needed for high end titles. Overall would recommend if debating on buying one!

The only limiting factors of this product are from windows and not ASUS. I have owned a steam deck, steam deck oled, legion go, and now this. The ROG Ally X is hands down the best handheld gaming console on the market. Now that valve has announced support for steam OS on the Ally, there’s really no reason to get anything else.

This is my handheld dream since playing the original gameboy! Can play almost any game in my Steam library and Game pass at decent settings. I love this thing.

I absolutely love this, im a ps5 user and i love this system to play steam games on. It runs smoothly and i have yet to lag out while playing

The ROG ALLY X is hands down the best gaming system out there. Nothing else even comes close. I'm super happy with the purchase. Worth every penny!

Been a great experience so far. A bit slow on downloads though…can’t seem to go more than an average of 30-40 mbps. Otherwise, having basically a mini-gaming/personal laptop has been very convenient with little to no noticeable issues.

I was contemplating getting the Steam Deck Oled or the ROG Ally X for sometime. After getting the ROG Ally X, it took sometime to get used to the clunkiness of windows on a handheld. However, once everything is setup - the gaming experience has been good for most games. Additionally, thanks to windows OS, modding single player games are a breeze. Overall, it serves its intended purpose, but the biggest downside is the price. At this price you can get a small and portable gaming laptop (12''-15'') that will handle any current AAA game. Currently, I only get 20-30 FPS on Expedition 33 with graphics set to medium.

Really good handheld pc…. I don’t have to much time to play …. This got me playing again when I have free time … really happy with this purchase

Buying from best buy was easy the device is great plays anything i throw at it cyberpunk, red dead redemption 2 , Gta V emulators is great.

A great portable PC handheld to have, especially one more powerful and faster than the Steam Deck

I have owned both the Steam Deck and Rog Ally X. What I like about the Steam Deck is you log into your Steam account, and you start downloading games. However, what I don't like about the Steam Deck is that not all games are verified to work on the deck, like older games, hence emulation. What I love about the Ally X is I can download games from anywhere because it runs Windows 11 instead of SteamOS. I also like that Asus has a website that gives you the best settings for games so that you get the best experience on your Ally for that game; so far, I have not come across a game that is not on that list. Every review video you will watch of this device will tell you that Windows 11 gets in the way on this device. However, what the video's do not tell you is that you can have the device open straight into the game launcher of your choice and not have to mess with Windows 11 or even the Armoury crate. I highly recommend this device for anyone who enjoys playing games while on the go, and for anyone who does a lot of traveling like I will be doing.

amazing performance on such a small device but the feel of it can get a bit uncomfortable after some hours of gameplay
