Best handheld I own since the Nintendo switch And it is worth the price

The performance is great! Customization is absolutely perfect.

I am very happy with my ROG Ally X, Excellent Open Box however there is a caveat. I noticed my Asus ROG warranty date was about a month prior to my purchase. I had seen postings were people contested the date and had the warranty date adjusted. I contacted Asus, I supplied the requested documentation, I was told because my Ally X was an "Open Box" the original warranty date would stand. Just be aware of you buy an "Open Box" unit your warranty will be from when ever the original registration was received by Asus. I'm still happy with the purchase, just disappointed Asus would not adjust the warranty date.

Great purchase. Works great, feels great in your hands. Preferred over a steam deck.

Not going to lie, I loved the Ally X. When I received it, I was a kid in a candy store. I did everything popular gamers online said to tweak the system BEFORE playing my first game. Download Division 2 AND had it in Clouding gaming. Fought so so hard to love it AFTER playing Division 2. Every game is smooth no issues. Division 2, it took every bit of strength not to throw Ally X through the wall. Changed settings on Ally X, Crater, and AMD, nothing. Changed settings in-game nothing. The game would run smoothly for 30 minutes then it would stutter/lag. Before anyone says anything it was connected to 5G. Then played other games. Solo / PVE is beautiful but PVP is horrible. It wasn't just Division 2, I would stop moving in MK 11 or Tekken, and next minute I'm on the floor. Need for Speed find myself doing donuts on the track out of nowhere. BO6 Zombies, i think i killed a rock, broken down vehicle and ran into a wall several times. Dont think i did much damage against zombies. Couldn't take it anymore. Didn't buy the handle for solo, got it to play PVP games. Heard about other solutions wipe out the HD and install SteamOS but defeats the purpose of buying Ally X. Could have bought Legion. I returned it 3 weeks hassle-free. Love BB by me, awesome people. Now I'm waiting on pre-order RoG Ally Xbox. Let's give that a try.

Use it all the time, take it almost everywhere I go. Would buy another, great sales team at East Brunswick.

Having tried all the major PC handhelds out there, this one is definitely my favorite. Huge battery, great analog sticks, buttons, and triggers. The Legion Go has a beatiful big screen, but it negatively impacts the size and weight.

I think the build quality is fine im not sure what people are complaining about. If you want a hand held that will run emulators decently, older games on good settings this is fine. I wasnt expecting 4k on newer AAA titles, but im struggling getting 30 solid frames on newer games even after spending hours playing with system settings/ game settings. I’m not new to PC gaming whatsoever but i would much rather spend 200 on a Series S and carry that around for whatever game I want. Either that or spending a bit more on a more capable laptop.

Bought this for my son for his birthday, he is very impressed with the quality. It runs at high speed with no buffering.

I used this with windows for a short time before switching to linux bazzite and its basically a super powerful steamdeck now. This thing is well worth the full price i paid for it let alone on sale or open box.

This is an excellent handheld gaming device. I have the previous ROG Ally from last year, and this Ally X is much better. This is my entry into pc gaming, and it is a great way to play games that aren't on the conventional home consoles (Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo).

The handheld itself is very handy and nice for travel. It lasted about 2-3 hours on a full battery for me. I was playing games like 7 Days to Die for reference of strain to unit. My biggest issue came when I connected the handheld to my 4k 240hz monitor. It obviously couldn’t handle those specs which is understandable, but when I dropped the specs to be compatible with the handheld, it basically rendered my monitor useless. The amount of warped framing, scaling errors, and mutli-tasking the handheld was attempting to do caused it to basically crash any game I was playing. It could hardly run Windows in that mode. Not a deal breaker if you’re strictly using it for on the go, but keep that in mind in case you’re looking for an All-in-One solution like I was.
