Best option for handheld

The windows setup crashed several times on start up but worked through that. It’s interesting to find what games work and don’t work on these. Usually controls issues that takes some time figuring out. If you are looking for a handheld then this is best option. Better stats than even switch 2 coming out this year.

Here's hoping Deck 2 comes out soon

And they seem so much more interested in making a good console that when the deck 2 arrives, the other guys gonna have to go nutso to catch up. Only thing I disliked about the steam deck was the smaller m.2 slot, 720p screen, smaller battery and the age of the hardware. I know that sounds like 80% of the thing, but the ally consoles are just buttons smashed on a portable computer, I feel like it could be away better thought out. The touchpads on the deck are so incredibly useful, it's kind of embarrassing for everyone else. Sorry asus, just having the most powerful doesn't make you the best.

Improvement over the original

The ergonomics, joysticks, buttons, and overall feel of the device has improved. It is also nice being able to install a full size M.2 drive in it as well. Upgrading storage to 4tb was an extremely easy process. In terms of gaming performance it seems like there is a small improvement over the original. Frame rates are a little bit higher but what’s more noticeable is less frame dips. Overall really enjoying the device and excited for the future of handheld gaming.
