Nice and plays really well no issues till now. But the only issue it has is of the controls

This has a steep learning curve because of the myriad of options. There are so many things you can do with this, it's unreal. It's not a Nintendo Switch. It's a handheld computer that is good for gaming. You can Bluetooth accessories, keyboards, controllers, a mouse, headphones, etc and plug into your tv for gaming in an external larger screen. Awesome device. Just be patient while learning how to use it, and you'll love it.

Fantastic handheld gaming device! I use it when traveling to kill time on flights and sometimes in hotels. I know you can do a lot with this but for me just having a solid powerful device to play games on the is checks all the boxes

Great upgrade from original Ally. Better battery life, ergonomics, extra usb-c port. I liked the original and this addresses some of the weaknesses effectively. I kindof miss the white though. Although, let’s be honest…I really want an orange one!!

This was bought open box so most of my comments are directed to Best Buy and not asus. The device hardware is amazing but if I wasn’t a technician myself I would’ve returned it. It was missing all drivers, the device wouldnt recognize its WiFi card or its input devices (thumb sticks and buttons). I had to connect to Ethernet to install necessary drivers just to get it up and running. Then after watching some vids on what should be preinstalled to adjust settings I found those apps were also missing, I had to install all those from the asus website. It’s great now but Best Buy missed the mark on having this open box item ready for sale.

I am very happy with my ROG Ally X, Excellent Open Box however there is a caveat. I noticed my Asus ROG warranty date was about a month prior to my purchase. I had seen postings were people contested the date and had the warranty date adjusted. I contacted Asus, I supplied the requested documentation, I was told because my Ally X was an "Open Box" the original warranty date would stand. Just be aware of you buy an "Open Box" unit your warranty will be from when ever the original registration was received by Asus. I'm still happy with the purchase, just disappointed Asus would not adjust the warranty date.

This thing has genuinely changed the way I play games. In the short time I’ve owned it I’ve probably completed 3 times as many games as opposed to the same time frame simply gaming on my PC.

I am not much a tech person, but my brother told me this is really great for me as my first "pc." And I love every second of it. The only thing that is a problem is the storage, and I heard the sd card slot is too slow for certain things like games (and that's mainly what I use it for, lol). But maybe if I'm lucky to get a good sd card, I will try in the future. I'm not sure yet.

I have had no issues runs smooth. You do have to adjust settings for some games but it looks amazing on every game I play runs so smooth never had it crash

This might sound cliche; but my whole gaming life revolves around this thing!

For what I want to play it’s amazing, for AAA games I’d suggest a laptop or an eGPU setup, works well with my dock, monitor, mouse, keyboard for my MMO though. Convenient to use and setup and just take the handheld with me at times.

I'm a truck driver and wanted a quicker option to be able to unwind for like and hour or so versus setting up a laptop to do the same. Highly recommend getting this! This thing is just awesome plays a lot of titles!

The handheld itself is very handy and nice for travel. It lasted about 2-3 hours on a full battery for me. I was playing games like 7 Days to Die for reference of strain to unit. My biggest issue came when I connected the handheld to my 4k 240hz monitor. It obviously couldn’t handle those specs which is understandable, but when I dropped the specs to be compatible with the handheld, it basically rendered my monitor useless. The amount of warped framing, scaling errors, and mutli-tasking the handheld was attempting to do caused it to basically crash any game I was playing. It could hardly run Windows in that mode. Not a deal breaker if you’re strictly using it for on the go, but keep that in mind in case you’re looking for an All-in-One solution like I was.

It’s a great handheld device that plays everything I need it to play. Battery is good as well as display. There is a bit of tinkering you have to do when it comes to resolution for games quite often. The left thumbstick isn’t as durable as expected tho.

This gaming handheld has been nothing short of phenomenal with all of its unique features.

Great device. Ton of power and customization options in terms of power use. Installed a 4 tb drive, partitioned half of it and threw bazzite on it for a steam deck UI experience. Super easy.

But man, does it leave you with buyer's guilt if you already have a gaming pc. It's a little handheld that runs so many games and even some low-end VR. If you dont already have a gaming pc that has a 1650 or better, go for it, especially if you can find it open box. Buying it as is, it's so hard to justify that price already having a gaming pc.
