I purchased this one because it features Bluetooth wireless for my wireless headphones. My 2020 Roku Ultra had headphone feature by plugging into the remote. It worked, but now I don't have fool with wires.

The "if it aint broke why fix it" streamer

Even upgrading an older ultra to this one, you lose some sd card support and digital outputs but gain dolby vision and a faster processor. But otherwise those differences are so minute that you can just score a used ultra if dv isnt that important to you and it's pretty much the same usage experience and picture quality experience. Both remotes are similar too. I enjoy how easy roku setup is, the website integration and just ease of use. It also stores your channels in the cloud if you go from 1 roku to another so reloading all thise channels again isn't so hard if you're upgrading an existing roku. It's nice they include an hdmi cable and earbuds for private listening for this price point too.

Roku fan

Now with the rising costs of cable, it's a smart step to stream more tv and lower those ever rising cable costs. Plus I got Apple TV free for 3 months!

We shouldn’t have waited — it renewed our tv to be honest. Opened up so many apps we’ve been wanting to get, we highly recommend it!
