So I finally had to replace my older, lower model Roku player because after a couple of years my last one died. I decided to go big and get the best one. To me, the differences aren't worth the price difference, but it is faster (which could be because my last one was old) and picture quality is a bit better. What I love is the headphone option! My dad is in the living room, which is adjacent to my office and so it's nice that he can watch his action movies while I'm "in" class or on a call without any disturbance. All in all - if you have the money, I definitely recommend!

Being a prime member and heavy user of the echo system, we purchased a toshiba with fire tv, I dont like the arrangement of apps on the tv. Roku is a lot easier to navigate. The plus sides are: 1) having kids, it is a lot easier to find the remote by pressing the button; 2) i use the earphone a lot (connected to remote) to watch movies at night without disturbing my kids -- or you can download the app, plug any earphone or headphone then enjoy binging at night and 3) for whatever reason, the roku ultra connected to the toshiba has no glitches compared to using fire tv ( movies sometimes stops)

I love Roku's interface and the Ultra does not disappoint. Its fast, has great remote, range, and 4k capabilites have been perfect for my needs.

This streaming platform is EXCELLENT! Far better than the Amazon streaming devices. We have 2 of the amazon Fire products (stick and a Fire-Cube), both have to constantly reboot by unplugging/restart. The Roku device is solid and haven't had that problem. Supports 4K, but the remote is excellent, includes volume control and has headphone jack that is very handy for night time TV viewing when others are sleeping or need it to be quieter. Great streaming platform.

I bought this on sale for half the original price. I think it's a great product but not for the original $ 99.00. (Just my opinion.) I love that I can use headphones because I usually stay up at night and everyone else is sleeping. This way I won't bother them with the noise of the TV being on. Also love the fact that it has the power button, volume up/down, and mute buttons. Voice command is awesome. Works fast.

After watching the cost of TV go up almost monthly, I decided to bite the bullet and get rid of corded TV. The Roku box had all the apps I was looking for and was already familiar with the interface. Install and setup was quick and easy. I have one remote that controls both. I would recommend that during setup of your streaming services that you connect a keyboard since some of them can be quite tedious to input the information using arrow keys. Once that's done though usage is very easy.

This thing has the ponies the back up any application you want to watch. We were using the Sony Bluray player and that thing doesn't hold a candle to the Roku ultra. It's nice, fast and responsive. Recommend for anyone wanting to cut the cord from their cable/satellite or pc. I could kiss the engineer that added the find my remote ping feature. That feature alone sold me on it. Every device should have a ping my remote. It saves your sanity especially with kids that fight over the remote and hide it from each other and themselves. Overall I love it and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

Purchased three of these back before Christmas 2019 for three older Flat Panel TVs. They enabled the TVs to stream a wide variety of programs allowing their lifespan to be extended without requiring them to be replaced with current smart TVs which would have been a great expense. Very satisfied with the remote and the ease to maneuver in the streaming device. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to cut the cable tv service on an older tv. Worth the price.

Already have Apple TV and was suggested by a friend to purchase the Roku - Ultra 4k Streaming. Absolutely love the Roku device! Very easy to use and the setup does not take too long. Much easier to navigate thru the system with the remote vs. Apple TV. I still really like the Apple TV and the Roku is a great addition to the setup. My favorite feature is being able to listen using the headphones which shuts off the tv speakers.

The Roku Ultra has some really nice features such as 4K, Fastest WiFi signal available, wired Ethernet port and easy to use remote and interface. The great thing about Roku is it has a wide variety of streaming services. Very easy to setup. Disney plus, Netflix, YouTube and more. Beat streaming device I own. The earphones are actually nice when connected to the remote allowing you to listen without disturbing others. Not any cons

I bought this to replace an old Roku that I've had for about five years. I have no regrets. This one comes up a heck of a lot faster than my older one. The ability to view from a USB stick is really nice. The icing on the cake is the ability to plug ear buds into the remote for quiet watching late in the evening. The one caveat I would warn about is that doing so will eat batteries in the remote.

I've read great things about the Roku interface. This is my first Roku, and I have to say this is a great gadget. It's quick and plays content from almost every imaginable streaming service. Setup is easy, and so far I've enjoyed using it much more than my old Chromecast. The only improvements I would make are: Adding a button to control the TV input Include an Ethernet cable Add Dolby vision capability

I really like the Ultra Roku - very fast navigation and never any drop in Wi Fi reception - has the same OS as the other models but whats powering it under the hood its what separates it from the rest of the other streaming players. Lossless playback in 4K along with JBL headphones thrown in and no other player can top it. I highly recommend getting it you will not be disappointed.

The system was very easy to install, although it does not come with an HDMI cable. I am not very tech savvy, but didn't have any trouble. The picture is clear and navigating the remote has been fine. I am still learning how to save my favorite shows to the home screen. The only downside for me, and it is probably because my TV is older, is that neither the Roku remote or the cable provider remote will allow me to switch from HDMI for regular cable to HDM2 for the Roku on the remotes. I have to go to the TV and push input on the actual TV to switch back and forth. That is a bit of a hassle.

Recently purchased to enhance our Samsung 4k tv - the Samsung browser is usable, but slow and a bit cumbersome. Had a Firestick, but tired of the slow response, the UI menus are cluttered and full of ads (hard to get to what I own and want to watch), full of ads and Amazon curated content that is not necessarily relevant. Enter Roku - had the original and thought I would try again (had gone with Apple and Amazon, but neither impress). First and foremost, significantly easier and faster to install and connect than Amazon or Apple. The Roku remote functions better than the firestick remote, both in control responsiveness and voice commands. Also, the Roku remote will control power and volume on all my TV's ( Sharp, Vizio and Samsung). The Firestick add-on or the new 2019 remote would not control volume on some of my Tv's. Secondly, the UI and menu system is clean, well organized and gets me to my apps and content faster! After a month with Roku Stick +, no slow downs or freezing - and very fast and responsive when switching between apps and menus and loading videos. Excellent playback quality! Expect the same for the Ultra 4K. So far, the video quality and audio is excellent! Highly recommended!

Great media player. Easy to setup and very quick when hardwired into the modem. Use it mainly for YouTube TV and Netflix and it's easy to setup and use. The only negative is the batteries drain very quickly in the remote especially if you connect wired headphones. But overall great Roku for the Black Friday price!

Overall, this is a great item. Lots of streaming choices, great selection. It is easy to set up and get used to using. No real negatives regarding this product...so far. It is compact and the remote works great, the signal goes through entertainment cabinet wood doors with no problem. Get one today, you won't be disappointed.

I purchased this because my Amazon Fire TV edition would not support the new Apple TV+. I was a little burnt by the fact I could stream nearly everything else except that. Not to mention their beef spending years to get Youtube on their device. I wanted something more "neutral" instead of buying from someone who had direct competitors, so I chose Roku. Its been a great device and upgrade! The UI is great and easy to use, the voice controls are surprisingly good, the remote feels nice in the hand, and I never notice lag. Amazon's menu was all over the place, and maneuvering through menus was a pain, bloated by ads and confusing items. Haven't tried the headphone-to-remote option yet, but I do like that option if I ever need to watch something quietly. My only disappointment is that I wish Roku could somehow push for more Atmos compatibility with their apps like Plex and Netflix, or have a passthrough for DD TrueHD for USB connected devices. I know this is mostly out of their hands but it is one disadvantage compared to the Nvidia Shield. Highly Recommend.

Roku Ultra is a great streaming device to help cut the cord, the new processor is a welcome improvement from last years model to make using menus and processing video quick and crisp. Also the new shortcut buttons are great to help shorten the time to open your favorite applications. Definitely a good device and I recommend it!

New to the streaming and cable cutting group. Paired this with an older Samsung Smart TV and setup was easy enough. Voice feature is convenient and responds well to our voices. Used the head phone feature when watching shows alone to better hear the sounds of the shows. The product works well as advertised.
