It's the best streaming device that I've tried. (FireStick, Roku Stick and Roku Ultra) Fast processor so no lag as the system is turning on. Great picture quality. Roku interface is simple and intuitive.

I got the Roku to connect to a tv, which is already connected to the dvd player and sound system. Remote control controls the sound system volume well. I can walk to another room using the headphone jack and still hear the sound. When connected to a home projector, the remote works even when pointed away from Roku toward the screen. Easy for me to setup the apps, but hard to browse through selecting them-- there are hundreds. The voice control for search is great for finding obscure programming, but has its limits. If you want to search for a particular video on YouTube, you have to make a voice command to search YT specifically for that video-- if you don't mention the YT app, the search will not find the video.

I originally purchased 2 of these for my daughter's family. I was so impressed with them, that I bought one for myself. With this Roku player, I can watch my streaming services like Netflix, Prime, or any number of app related services. I have downloaded so may streaming apps so I never run out of entertainment. The picture quality is absolutely the best! It was so easy to setup and it easily connects to my home internet. It can also be used when traveling anywhere that an internet signal is available. I especially like the way that I can plug in the provided ear buds into the remote control for private listening. I recommend this Roku model, and would definitely buy the same one again.

    Roku Makes Streaming Much Easier

Roku is still the easiest streaming option out there. They have a variety of products for your budget and needs. After having suffered years through Sony's slow processor on their Android TV platform, I finally gave up and bought this Roku. I wished I had gotten it years ago. Much better experience. The processor in this thing is great as there is almost no lag. Apps and the UI flow smoothly and there are no long load times for anything. Apps also never seem to crash. Roku has a massive library of apps. Most of which look and perform better than their Android TV counterparts. The universal search feature is fantastic so you can easily check to see if something is free somewhere before having to pay to rent it. I pretty much never even use search in the apps anymore because Roku searches everything and will take you directly to it in the app without having to fumble around for it. The headphones with the remote are also a nice touch, if you need them. 4K quality has been amazing and even FHD content looks great. I do have a few gripes. 1) I know this is a trend of electronics in general but please, give us a way to turn these things off using the power button. Like off off. The Roku power button turns the TV off (and with my TV that's just the screen, the TV is still running like a tablet with the screen off). The only thing that changes is the LED light goes off after 10-15 minutes. But it's always warm to the touch. I understand that's so it's always ready to go and it can update in the background, but at least have it enter a low power state. I think there may be a way to long hold the power button and get options, but I'd like a setting where I just hit power once and it's off off. 2) About once a month or so (and this is related to the above), the graphics hardware in the unit fails temporarily and it displays a double image with incorrect colors. It almost looks like the Safe Mode for Windows when there is some system failure. A simple restart fixes it and it stays away until next month. But this is another reason to have power button actually turn it off so the system can reset/refresh regularly. 3) This is a minor gripe and it may be caused by other reasons but the screensaver and apps you are casting from your phone/tablet don't play nice. Often times if the screensaver comes up while on a paused YouTube video, clicking play to get out of the screensaver will cause the YouTube app to close. I think this is because the screensaver has ads on it and when you click Play to get out of the screensaver, it takes that as you selecting the ad so it drops out of the app. I feel there is a way to avoid that but it's not intuitive as you'd think clicking any button would get you out of the screensaver. These are minor gripes and I still highly recommend this if you want 4K streaming. I've used Roku, Android TV, and Fire, and Roku is by a landslide my favorite.

Cut cable and needed to find a device to stream Netflix and amazon prime videos. Setup was relatively easy, though my older tv (Toshiba from 2010) was not found during set up. It took a few more steps but my Roku remote can now control power and volume on my tv. Menu is very good and intuitive. With the exception of the mute button being on the side, the remote layout was well thought out. Access to channels is quick using WiFi, but there is also a way to hard wire an internet connection if needed. This is my first Roku device, I previously had an amazon fire stick which was old and had minor problems. This is a much better device.

Loved our Roku so much we got this one for a family member and made them cancel their cable. Only very rarely we might have a connection problem and all you have to do is unplug and then start over. Could be our WiFi, not sure. Other than that... perfect. Family member had 4 different remotes with about 200 buttons between all of them. The remote is super easy to use with only a few buttons. Love being able to plug in headphones. The home page is easy to navigate and fill with apps for whatever streaming services you use. (No HBO Max yet, come on Roku!)(but the device works great) Highly recommended.

This is easy to use and up to date. Our smart TV is too old and our previous Roku was almost as old as the TV. The remote for this one is easier to use and set up was straightforward.

I was amazed at how lightning fast it was to navigate the menus in the various apps. And for WWE Network subscribers like myself, I would recommend this device as the go-to as so far, I haven't had the buffering problems that I had on the PS4 version of that app. The picture quality is great as well, & the JBL headphones come very handy.

This is a fantastic streaming unit. The headphones jack in the remote is a game changer, allowing for "off hours" TV watching without bothering anyone else in the house. Also, the fact that you can connect an ethernet cable directly, rather than WiFi, is a nice touch. Honestly, we'd had our previous Roku for many years and it was still working perfectly. But apparently it was too old/not supported by Disney+ so we had to upgrade. The extra $20 for this unit to get the headphone jack in the remote was totally worth it. It also feels faster and more responsive then our 6 year old previous Roku. It's nimble and easy to use.

We have Roku streamers at home and at work. The others are Roku sticks which are great... just plug them in and go. It's easy to setup and login to services. The menu is very intuitive. This unit, the Ultra 4k Player is also great, but at this point, we have not upgraded to 4k TV, so I have no experience with that part of it. The Ultra 4K remote works well. Unlike the Roku sticks, this remote has 2 programable buttons. There are also 4 pre-assigned buttons. These 4 must be sponsored because they are different on my other remotes. My only complaint is it would be nice if ALL of these were user definable. Highly recommend Roku!

    Remote Has Improved

The remote control unit for this Ultra 4K version has significantly improved when compared with the older Roku 3 model. Overall, it feels sturdier and more solid, and it also has a nicer tactile response feel when the buttons are pressed — the older remote feels lighter or “cheaper”. Another nice new feature is the ability to control the volume of the TV using the Roku remote, instead of having to find/use the TV’s own remote. The ability to connect headphones to the Roku remote for private listening continues to be a nice feature, as it also was with the Roku 3 model. Great device overall.

Fast. Much better than AppleTV (and I am an Apple power user). Better than all of the others. Fast. Fast update revisions. The only bad thing, recently updates have been killing battery longevity in the remotes, until a new update after the is issued. After one update the Duracells were dead in a matter of 5 days. (This is widely reported online). You can't go wrong overall with this. I do give Roku credit they support these for years. I hope they do not change that.

The new updated ultra is a little faster than previous model but not by much, not worth upgrading if you have the previous model. Its definitely worth it if your replacing and older roku stick or other brand streaming stick. I like the fact that it has an ethernet port in rear and that it comes with the JBL earbuds to watch TV late at night and not disturb anyone sleeping. I connected by ultra via ethernet to my eero pro, wow what a difference in speed it made, no more buffering and content comes on quickly including 4k programming. Keep in mind I have the att 1000mbps fiber internet so this combination ensures I maximize the full use of what I pay for
