I recently cut the cord and started using YouTube TV. I had initially started on AppleTV, but their remote is not user friendly for YouTube TV. So, after doing some research, I decided on the Roku. So far, it's been awesome. It's easy to use, has all the services / apps I need, and the remote is a ton better than using Apple TV. Overall, I highly recommend this device to anyone utilizing any streaming services.

I bought this to replace a cable box and save money on rental fees. It has been great thus far. Very easy to set up and use. The device is small, uses less space and has a petite remote. Smooth transition from cable box to streaming. Some functions are lost and limited but others are gained. No numbers to change channels, limited program info, limited DVR space (this does not change DVR space on my main box). The free channels, money saved ($120 per year) and portability make it all worth it. I haven't used the voice function or JBL earbuds for private listening but glad to have the options. I'm very happy I made the switch!

I like the added features like being able to connect to my router through 5.0 GHz rather then just 2.4 GHz. The remote also allows you to turn your TV on/off and control the volume. And the headphone jack and JBL headphones make listening in bed an option late at night. No HDMI cable is included, but I already had a Monster HDMI cable onhand. I would definitely recommend, especially when it's onsale for $69.00

Excellent streaming device. I wanted a device that I could connect using a wired network connection. I was a little surprised to find that the network connection is only a 100mb connection. But I suppose, for streaming even at 4K 100mb is sufficient. Picture quality is amazing, set up is super easy. Only minor issue is you can only connect the Roku to the the app when using wireless set up. Kind of silly, but so far I’m loving it.

I have been using Rokus for many years so I am biased. I purchased this because my old one didn't do 4K and I purchased a new 4K TV. Yes the TV had smart features and initially I thought of not using the Roku, but as a family we missed the ease and functionality of the Roku. It is easy to use and powerful. Having a separate piece of equipment may not suit your needs, or like me, maybe it is exactly what you want.

I was looking for a steaming box that worked with Ethernet because I wanted the stablest connection, and this Roku does not disappoint! The Roku UI in my opinion is best, and their library of apps is extensive. The universal remote paired seamlessly with my TV. I wanted the best on the market, and this device was the most recommended in multiple articles, and I get why so now. You will LOVE it!

Easy to set up .Great picture and easy to use. Price is right and got rid of expensive cable cost.

We have cable tv at home, so had no need for "streaming." However, on a short term work contract, while we needed high speed internet, we weren't going to pay for more cable tv. We got the local stations with an antenna (go figure!) but I couldn't get the sports I wanted. So, we experimented with Roku. Well, WOW! We got tons of movies, other channels, and SPORTS! Also, courtesy of the headphones (my wife LOVES the JBLs that come with this) she can watch tv in bed, or watch tv while I read. The holiday price of virtually half off let us get a couple for our various tv's. I don't know if other streaming services are any better, or how they compare, but this got us where we wanted to be, and more, at a great price.

A lot of TVs are “smart” TVs now but my mother still has a tv from almost 10 years ago. Without having to buy a new tv, this device instantly gave her an upgrade! I also have an older Roku stick so I was already familiar with this interface. But this is extremely fast and very intuitive. The wireless JBL speakers work very well. And the remote feels high quality and durable. It’s definitely worth it!

Operates much faster than my (older) smart TV and much, much faster than the competitor product we used previously. My main reasons to buy this we're: a) the headphone jack on the remote, which has been super handy when my spouse wants to watch something and I want to read a book, and b) the Ethernet Jack in the product that allows super quick internet speeds on the side of the house furthest away from the router.

Received the improved Roku "Ultra" streaming player as promised and on sale. Ultra unit was easily installed within 15 minutes and works very well. Appreciate the ability to have direct connection to Ethernet cable rather than depending on WiFi signal only. Roku functions quickly and was able to add 2 quick connect buttons for Prime and YouTube TV on remote. We worth the price paid.

Replaced cable box with Roku. Can now watch Cable Tv (Spectrum) on my Roku. No charge for Cable tv. WiFi service still required. Also great for streaming movies. Lots of free Roku movies and can subscribe to Netflix or Prime and many other streaming channels. Set up is easy but need to setup an account with Roku. Works great so far. Bought in on a special Black Friday sale for $50 making it an excellent buy.

Our Samsung smart TV was not able to load apps like Disney+ (95% failure rate) and YouTube (50% failure rate) most of the time. After doing some research, the newest Roku - Ultra 4K seemed to be the best answer. Work great right out of the box, with minimal configuration. [Note: we do have it hardwired to our router, vs. using the wireless. This was one of the features that we wanted.]

I got this for my older LG smart TV. I was unable to view any streaming apps specifically YouTubeTV. I debated whether to get the new Shield or this Ultra. Glad I chose the Ultra! The remote is great with 2 shortcut buttons, volume/power control for tv and headphones for private listening plus you can stream wirelessly or use ethernet port to connect directly to internet. Sweet deal!

This Roku media player is incredibly fast and I love that it accepts an ethernet connection in addition to wireless ac. Apps load quickly and everyone I want and most I'd never thought of are available. The remote is solid feeling and has an earphone connection along with decent sounding JBL earbuds. I never use them but it's a great option for bedroom placement etc. Love this unit.

The reason I upgraded with to get better service and better performance than I had with the Roku stick.... that's not necessarily the case. Still have occasional buffering or glitches that cause a system reset. Love the 4K... Really LOVE the headphone outlet on the remote which makes it really convenient to listen silently with someone in the room or working from home. Still on the fence with what's going on with perfromance and resets, but that could be something else and I just need to Google it or get with Roku support. I recommend if you can find it on sale!! But... jury is still out for overall review. Stay tuned.

Very fast and stable. Easy to use and setup. Much better than the fire cube tv. Voice searches could be better, but the stability and speed makes up for that. The ability to stream audio to your phone or through the headphones plugged into the remote is awesome even if you won’t use it that often. Overall would recommend this device to anyone looking to exclusively stream media.

This device is a solid streaming device to add to your TV. For the price, it would be hard to find a better product. It outputs up to 4K resolution. It does not display any lag when in use. ROKU software is pretty refined and intuitive so it's easy for almost anyone to use, even technophobes. Almost every streaming app is available. Does what it's supposed to do.
