I use an iron every day to touch up wrinkles and I'm impressed with this model. I've heard mixed reviews about Rowenta, but overall they're known to be of great quality, so I purchased my first. I've been using it every day for a week now and the initial burn-in smell has gone away. The steam is great and even though the outer plate doesn't get as hot as your normal iron, the steam does wonders to get the job done. Jeans, linen, thin synthetics, and even those wrinkles you make when you pinch the fabric with the iron... gone. Let's see how it stands up over time, but I love it so far.

Three reasons I wouldn't buy this iron again.

I bought this iron about 4 weeks ago. I like it and will keep it but it has three solid negatives, one of which I knew about before I bought it because the description says auto-off. 1) I really don't like not having an on and off switch. For safety you just unplug it. If I lived in earthquake country, where I used to live, I'd never get this iron, or I would have to plug and unplug it. 2) The hatch you push up to fill the iron with water is REALLY hard to get open. Maybe it's just on my iron, but I don't like it. I use both thumbs and it's very hard to open. 3) It's very hard to see where the water level is. All the manufacturer should have done was not make the water 'window' so darkly tinted. At certain angles and light levels you just can't where the water is and I have great eyesight. Overall it's fine.

to say i really don't like this iron is an understatement. it doesn't get hot enough to iron wrinkles out of thick fabrics like khaki pants or to make white collared dress shirts look perfect. it may be good for someone who doesn't need high heat or doesnt know which setting to use. also the cord is not long enough. going to purchase another one that has actual heat settings and a long cord.
