    Wireless headphones that stay!

As an avid lifter, walker, and all around 'mover', I've definitely put these headphones to the test! They stayed in place through an intense weightlifting session, a jog, and even performed very well during a hands-free call while on a walk. I've had wireless headphones before and spent much of my time between sets adjusting my headphones to either a) attempt to make them more comfortable or b) gently force them deeper into my ears in the hopes that they stay put. These stayed in so well that even though they are a bit heavier than others I've owned, I completely forgot I had them in! I would highly recommend these headphones if you are active and looking for something both rugged and comfortable.

Sound is AMAZING! I did have a unit with bluetooth issues that I returned and got the Powerbeats3($199.99) and returned them SAME DAY because compared to the sound on the Rowkin Surge was night and day. I strongly recommend to anyone looking for ALL DAY COMFORT with EXCELLENT battery life.

Loud wireless audio with some interuptions

First impression of these is a reminder of the old individual Bluetooth earpieces that used to do phone calls only, as they are a bit large on the outside of the ear. However, despite their size they are very light. I was able to get a good fitting seal with the installed medium tips and the wings are flexible so that you can bend them to snuggly fit around your ear. These are surprisingly loud and provide deep lows and crisp highs. However, unless the music focuses on one end or the other it kind of washes out to meet the middle. Directions tell you to power the right earpiece first to sync with your device. However, you can do either first and then power on the other to start “true wireless stereo” as it states with a voice. The point to this is that whichever piece is synced to the phone is the one that calls are handled on. However, either one can control the volume, power and track skip of both. As for calls, the audio wasn’t bad, but not all that great either. Callers on the other side kept complaining of breaking up at times. On average I was able to get just short of 5 hours of play time out of them. With the charging case I was able to get 3+ more charges out of it. The last charge only provided about an hour. As for the design of the charging case however, it left a lot to desire. Having to individually connect each earpiece to a micro USB connector made it a bit more frustrating. Then to top it off, the earbuds are flipped, with the right on the left and the left on the right side of the case. Though it does allow you to charge the earbuds with a standard charger it just seems a bit outdated and tedious to have to do this when you have a case for them. Besides actually enjoying the sound and fit of these, and the true wireless design, they have one major flaw that really makes these difficult to continue to use. They continue to randomly disconnect from each other causing a brief interruption in audio. At first I thought it had to do with wireless interference as they would drop every time I went near my neighbor’s house while mowing the grass. However, they then dropped out while I was out in the middle of nowhere about 4 times in a row. Come to find out, it only takes your hand over one ear to make them drop sync so they are really sensitive. They manage to pick up right where they were, maintaining connection with the Bluetooth device, but the interruption of your favorite song while you’re singing along is infuriating. It is like having a cheap pair of wired headphones and one of them is starting to go bad.

    "Relic" Wireless In-Ear Headphones

PREFACE: Rowkin Surge Charge Wireless In-Ear Headphones feature a budget "Relic" design; they produce good sound. LIKES: 1- Sound quality is good. 2- Rowkin Surge Charge are lightweight, despite their large size. 3- Micro USB cable is included to charge the case. 4- Comfortable, secure fit with ear stabilizers. 5- Press a button on the outside of the charging case to activate a battery level digital bar graph. See this detail in attached photo. CONCERNS: 1- Largest In-Ear Headphones I have tested. 2- Large charging case is too thick to fit in your pocket: 4.75" X 2.75" X 2". See side profile of massive charging case in attached photo. 3- Each earbud must be plugged in using wires separately within the charging case. This is unheard of today. All of the separate earbuds I have tested have gold contacts that connect with the charging case when dropped in. These earbuds have individual micro USB jacks, making the headphones extra large. You have to remove the tiny rubber covers off of each Micro USB jack and connect each with wires within the charging case every time you charge them. After charging, you have to cover up both charging jacks with the rubber caps to prevent moisture intrusion. This is time consuming & difficult to do with large fingers. 4- Bluetooth disconnects right, left or both ear pieces and reconnects 5 or 6 times / hour. No other In-Ear Headphones that I have tested have this poor Bluetooth connection issue. 5- Unlike other Wireless In-Ear Headphones, there is no app, so equalization & configurable sound is not adjustable. If you care to enhance the bass, or tweak the treble, you will have to make that adjustment manually on your phone or tablet. 6- Rowkin Surge Charge do not offer Noise Cancellation. 7- Telephone calls sound tinny, like you are using a "cheap phone", to both parties. CONCLUSION: There are many Wireless In-Ear Headphones available today & pricing has become very competitive. Preferred models include free apps with sound tweaking, selectable ambient sound blending, Noise Cancellation, Equalization & Bluetooth priority for sound vs. connectivity. Those features are missing on Surge. The Bluetooth disconnection / reconnection interrupting the music is the primary reason for not recommending Surge Charge. Two individual cable connections with covers just to recharge R + L send this model back to the drawing board. Rowkin - Surge Charge Wireless In-Ear Headphones are not recommended.

I bought these for the gym and am very pleased with fit, sound, and convenience. They don't budge while I'm on eliptical. The bass is good. I love that I can use just one when I am working out with a friend because they are basically external noise canceling with both in. Even with one in, I can hear the music very well as if both buds were in with my old headphones. I have experienced connectivity loss between earpieces once. It lasted for a second each time it happened that day. Slightly irritating but I can live with it.

These wireless headphones have a ways to go before these are a top contender in my eyes. I will say, however, that these wireless phones have been one of the better fits that i have experienced, its too bad the supporting tech does not follow suit. Hard plastic, small buttons that are very close to one another. Pairing is a hard to manage, sound is flat. No instructions in box to assist in pairing, forced to go onto website to see tutorial. Lots of work to be done her before i can could be happy with the product at hand.

I recently purchased the Rowkin Surge after having to retire a "sport" style wireless headphone I have been using for about a year. The main reason I purchased this pair; earbuds (100% cord free) and the around the ear piece on the earbuds. I have put the earbuds to the test on 5 runs so far they have passed with 5 stars! They stay in place, the sound quality is great, and the buttons on the earbuds are easy to use. Also, I love the fact that the case charges your headphones - such a great feature for someone who is always on the go!

I was a bit skeptical about buying these headphones. I didn't want to spend 300 bucks on the Bose headphones but I wanted true wireless headphones. I went to my best buy and sat there figuring out which ones were the best bet and these were it. I got them home and tested them running and no issue because of the ear keeper unlike what a lot of the other sinilar products have. They work great I work out, do the lawn, run, and just use them and love the product. The proximity can sometimes be spotty but is still really good. The other negative is that you plug them in to the chargeable case. But neither of these are true negatives. So honestly these are a very solid product for the price paid. Highly recommend

I am very pleased with the Rowkin Surge Bluetooth earbuds! And let me start by saying that I've been burned by other wireless headphones in the past. And these are a huge improvement! I'm a runner, and enjoy going for longer distances, so comfort for me is really important. These earbuds are great, no discomfort at all, and stay in place even when you're running at a brisk pace. These are replacing the Bose SoundSport wireless headphones I used to have (those ones were much larger in size, and I don't know why, but they fell out of my ears a lot because the strap wasn't as secure). The sound on the Rowkin ones are great, too. You don't have to sacrifice sounds quality for security and comfort here. Very happy!

Although these are comfortable and affordable, they did not meet my expectations. They are not as durable as my JLab hearbuds. I did love the way they fit my ear, but I didn’t like the charging method. The case you charge them in has 2 plug in cables so you can connect each earbud. My JLab earbuds has a case that charges them inside. I don’t have to plug the individual buds into the case. JLab headphones have me spoiled.

Review for Rowkin - Surge Charge Wireless In-Ear Headphones - Black/Green These wireless earbuds are great. They have good quality sound and because they REALLY stay put in your ears during exercise, you can enjoy the bass that they provide. It’s nice that the case also contains a battery that recharges the headphones when you plug them into it, but it’s somewhat annoying to have to connect each earphone to the micro-USB cables in the case. It would have been nice to have a more elegant charging solution that would just let you place the buds in the case. There are several such charging technologies available. I’ve tried several wireless earbuds and some of them are great for sitting and listening to music or video, but none have ever stayed in place when I exercise — until now. These buds really do stay in your ears and they’re comfortable too! Although they look a little bulky, they’re actually quite light. You can forget you’re wearing them. It’s also easy to push them into your ears or reposition them by pressing on the logo area. It’s difficult to do this on other wireless buds that use pressure to turn the buds on and off. Those controls are out of the way from positioning the buds, yet easy to use when you want. Finally, a little nit picky, but like similar head sets, these buds work great with my iPhone, but the caller’s voice only plays in the right ear. Again, many similar sets do not have this problem, so it’s not a matter of technology, just lack of thoughtful design. So for exercise and music these are the best I’ve seen. For the clunky USB cables and mono phone signal I took off one star.

My husband and I both bought these. The first one was a little awkward to set up but after the first one the second one was easy. The sounds is great and it will be nice to watch movies on my iPad when traveling without having the wires. I really like the charging case and so far the earbuds seem comfortable.

Great sound, only complaint is that you can only listen to the left with out the right ear bud connected but not the other way around. Also, have only had them 2 months and the bendy part that goes around the ear is broken already and no longer bends to stay on my ear. I would recommend the replacement warranty.
