It does not work. I followed the instructions multiple times and tried it on two different computers. One of the computers is a gaming computer that is less than two years old. The problem was that the software did not detect the video source from my old camcorder. the red record button was greyed out. after several hours trying to make it work, i gave up. i would not recommend this product.

Easy VHS to dvd file transfer. And other extra features make this a must own if your into storing old videos.

I managed to get all of my home videos onto DVDs. I did have some small difficulties but I'm pretty sure it was mostly due to the video camera I was using to play the tapes. I had trouble getting it to find the video signal also and I'm not sure if that was the camera, cord, or maybe the fact that all of the ports I have available are 3.0 USB and it says that a 2.0 USB is required. It did work though and wasn't too difficult to figure out.

I've been putting off a video project where I convert old family VHS tapes to digital. I bought a super old VHS player (for 70 bucks!), and this product. The product has just works, the software was easy to install (you have to download it from the interweb), and quality seems good enough.

I had doubts about this because the salesman made it sound so easy. It was very easy and intuitive. It was very plug and play. Saved me alot of money as a commercial place told me it would cost $15 per tape to transfer to digital. Would have cost me $1000 for all of my tapes. I got it on sale for $30. Very happy.

I am so glad I found this. I have several old home movies that I wanted to transfer to a DVD and was having trouble finding a dual VCR/DVD recorder and was going to be too expensive to have someone do it for me or to use one of the online services. This has been great and so easy to use.

This transfer system was easy to use. I was able to transfer all my movies to dvd with ease.

We used several knock-off models here and there, with no luck, but this one worked great!! Worth the little bit extra we paid, for sure. Plus, had we gotten this one first we'd have saved the other expense of trial and error. Word to the wise....get this one.

I had been looking for an easy method to convert my hi 8mm tapes to digital. I went to my local Best Buy store and this product was one of two recommended. After looking at both options, I selected the Roxio product. I currently have converted four two hour tapes and have many more to convert.
