I lost my wedding/honeymoon DVD's while moving. Luckily for me I still had my VHS original copy. Once I managed to purchase a VCR (for less than $40.00), it was fairly easy to transfer the video to a DVD format.

Bought this device to convert my family home videos to digital. At first I was concerned with the fact that it only uses USB 2.0 (slower than USB 3.0). However, this has no noticeable effect on the quality of the video being captured. Software is easy to use. Offers the ability to write to DVD or just save as a digital format.

Excellent product. I have VHS video tapes plugged in the attachment to an VHS player and my computer, downloaded the app for my computer and was quickly recording the VHS taps. Made a few mistakes but soon was copying them to my computer.

This was a very easy to use tool to make dvds out of some old tapes (w a lot of memories).

After understanding the instructions I found it to be a great product.

Great product for transferring your VHS to DVD. Very easy. Good if you don't want to spend your time learning how to use it. Editing was great too. If you still have old music you transfer them to CD

I've tried two of these over the past year and no amount of troubleshooting solves the problems. I'm pretty tech savvy and yet I've given up on this product. The included software is very basic, which isn't a bad thing in itself. However it fails to detect a signal from the device's input (at all) and therefore is completely unusable. Running in compatibility mode, uninstalling/reinstalling, deleting drivers, blah blah blah...None of it worked. Tech support is kind but runs you through every step over and over and finds no solutions. Not their fault, it's just an outdated product. I have the same device for my Mac. It works, but audio drift is terrible and unless you really know what you're doing and have special software to correct it, you'll notice that the audio and video go out of sync more and more as the recording goes on, at least on the highest quality setting. While this is a common problem during analog capture, the included software offers no way to correct for this. Roxio's offered solution? Use a lower quality setting! Why even HAVE a high quality setting if you KNOW the product is incapable of handling it? Sorry for the rant but there only a few product options in this category and even fewer of them seem to actually work. Check out Elgato instead.

Awesome product. I was able to move all my old vhs home video's to DVD where I will never loose them. Would recommend this 100%.

This hardware/software worked flawlessly to transfer a childhood family video from VHS to DVD, and even appears to have improved the quality. Allowed me to share it with numerous family members who hadn't ever seen these images from their childhood.

Be very aware of big compatibility issues with Win 11. I purchased and tried to install on new HP laptop, Win 11. It would not install due to "Memory Integrity" incompatibility. If you disable this Windows security feature, it seems to install and run decently. I uninstalled to get the security feature back (which I would really like to keep). The offending drivers are 3rd party and probably affect other similar products as well. I tried to open a Roxio ticket but got a blank page instead of a form. Not very hopeful.
