    The analog interface of the module never seemed to have sensed nor synchronized with the VCR signal. I verified the analog side by re-connecting it to a TV (Toshiba plasma display) and it renderder fine on the TV receiver, I can not analyze the probler further nor do I care. The digital interface to the PC and the software appeared fine excetpt there was no analog signal of any kind indicator, display or otherwise. Item was sealend in package when I got it and I did all the suggested SW updates as per the PC-side interface.

    I bought the "Roxio - Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus" to transfer old VHS and Hi-8 videos from S-video output to computer files. The video quality was absolutely terrible. It was far worse than the first generation VHS tape machines. If you want to transfer your tapes and simultaneously degrade them into an unwatchable file or DVD this is the perfect product, otherwise save your time and money. I returned it. I gave it one star, because there is no zero. This product has no useful purpose and should be pulled form the market.
