Great for saving family memories before the tapes run out of life.

Simple to install. You will need to purchase RCA to connect VCR to your laptop to the Roxio connector. Setup was quick. Allows you to save to computer in different formats such as .WAV or .MPEG or burn to a DVD.

I bought this to replace a much older version of the same type of product. It works well with Windows 10, and the software is fairly intuitive. Gets the job done for transferring old tapes.

Bought this to save my vhs tapes before they deteriated. Easy to setup and copy files to my hard drive. Still have a problem spanning multiple discs when movie is to long. I'll have to contact Roxio on this again. Biggest plus was saving my videos.

So exciting! I got this product, a large external hard drive and I have been transferring every family video of my families, my husbands family and this program has made it accessible to share and upload online privately so our friends and family, whom we chose, get to have all the same memories. We have actually even started family pages dedicated for everyone to actually post theirs and we can download them. It’s been so wonderful for us to watch the movies and view the photos and get to talk and share that with our children and grand children/

Converted vhs tapes to hard drive storage. Was easy to use and like the final product. Haven't used the editing feature but it to be simple to use if I wanted to. Good product and priced fair.

This is my second purchase. They seemed to have cleaned up some of the bugs. Maybe it's that I am using a faster CPU now, but I have done hundreds of hours of recording without any freeze ups or distortion.

Overall easy to set up and use. I made the decision to copy all our VHS ( over 500 tapes). I ended up buying a second unit to run two computers simultaneously!

This product is priced much lower than alternatives. By product reviews I thought I would be ok with it, as I simply want to transfer my tapes to dvds and don’t need those fancy editing functions. After one month, I transferred about 100 tapes and mission accomplished! However, one big flaw w the software is blurry top line about one inch high that cuts into the contents of the tapes. This is the reason I gave it two stars! Usage is easy enough, but only for one tape to one dvd, the multi tapes to single dvd just doesn’t work for me

easy setup to my Windows machine. was able to convert a VHS tape to digital format with ease. would recommend if you have a VHS tapes and want to convert them over to digital.

This product is easy to use for converting VHS to DVD. I would highly recommend it if you have VHS that you want to convert to DVD as VHS players are no longer made.

I had some old VHS tapes of my kids in the mid-1980s that I wanted how to transfer over to digital before the VHS tapes got old and unplayable. VHS tapes deteriorate overtime. I was able to transfer these from VHS to a flash drive, alternate hard drive, and also to DVDs if you have a DVD burner on your laptop. This is very easy to set up and easy-to-use. If you have any old VHS tapes that you would like to save, transfer them now!

Was disappointed that this Best Buy tech recommended software doesn't work with our Windows 11 PC. We corresponded with Corel engineers, and they acknowledged the problem but had no timeline for updating or fixing the issue. We will return this purchase. Best Buy should consult with vendor engineers to know the ins and outs of each product they sell so the in-store techs have first-hand information. So sad.

I bought it to use the simple direct vhs to to dvd record feature to convert old home video tapes for my mom. At first it seemed like it worked great but after doing several tapes I found that if you have a pause in video (as is common in home videos) the software stops recording and completes the burning of the disc. I contacted customer service to find out if there was a setting I could change since I could find nothing. All I got was attitude from the tech support guy I dealt with and an answer of “that’s the way it works, we are not software developers”. I was very unhappy with that answer and the attitude I received from tech support, who apparently are only there to tell you why the problem happens and not find a solution. Seeing as the only legal way to use this product is to convert self recorded home videos to dvd it makes no sense that they would set the software up to stop recording when there is approximately a 15-30sec pause in the video. Although it did transfer and record I am very unhappy that I cannot just use the simple direct transfer option that is what sold me on the product.

This converter is great! Setup was simple, and the videos it captures look great (well, for VHS). Highly recommend this converter.

simple software and easy connection cable instructions and setup. i was able to convert and transfer my vhs videos to my computer in very little time.

The software is a little confusing at first but after that it works well. Be warned when recording the sound will not be synced, this issue resolves itself when it is finished and saved so don't worry.

Yeah, it works. It works well -- but it isn't that easy at first. Installation is a bit "iffy" since one must have a video source attached. Once installed the learning curve isn't too big of a deal and the results of just what was expected. It does "run hot" so I don't leave it plugged into my USB port when not in use. Yes, I'd recommend this software/hardware combo.
