The instructions are not clear. I had to go back to buy additional items to make this work, but still have not been able to make the dvds of my vcr tapes. I would not recommend this product. Best Buy was a better store when they had personnel to help with questions.

Runs SLOWLY, if at all. Had to contact Corel Support several times since there is NO documentation (or links) provided. I have Windows 11 on a new laptop... very disappointed in this product.

This is a bad converter, period. About 20% of the top of the screen is scrambled while trying to capture the 8mm tape from the camera. It would only work ok if there was a lot of natural light on the master tape. And as for what it says on the box about reduce video noise and improve color balance, forget about that. It should say adds video noise and washes out colors. I will have to keep shopping. If anyone has found a product that works let us know please. some reviews that come up on google praise this piece of junk like it works wonderful but it doesn't. I can't believe how hard it is to search for one of these devices that has honest reviews and will just make a straight up copy of the tape, no better or worse quality.

I bought the product to copy old family movies. I installed it and followed all directions. It simply does not work. After recording 10 minutes of camcorder video, I stopped recording and the software began "finishing" which should not have taken very long for 10 minutes of recording. After an hour or so, it was still "finishing" I called customer service and I also used the chat service. I am told that there is no one in technical support to talk with. The person on the other side of the chat could not answer simple questions. I was told a ticket would be created and I would hear back by email in a day. I am happy to update this if I hear from them. For now, it is a one star only because there is no option for zero star.

This thing is so awesome! Now I can watch all of the Dallas cowboys super bowls! Haha

All i can say is Wow! Thought I burnt my mother board!! Plugged this product in to USB port and everything just shutdown.... I'm running windows 10, 64 bit system. So unplugged everything did some trouble shooting. Nothing! After trying repeatedly to turn the machine back on. 10 mins. later it came back on. YOU BEEN WARNED! Good luck.

Website says that there is a download available to download the software, however, there is not. Most computers don't have disk drives anymore, so now I have to make a second trip to the store to get a USB drive. I assumed that you'd have to register before a download was available, I assumed wrong. Will update my review as I go along, but so far, getting started has been nothing short of frustrating.

The software is good but the device is poor. Every little hiccup in the old videos I was trying to convert would result in a black picture with "lost video signal" on the screen. I tried a couple of VCR's with no luck. In other words, the old video you are trying to convert has to be pretty good and the VCR itself has to be in good shape.

SORRY IT IS NOT WORKING I HAVE TRIED OVER &OVER IT STAYS ON THE COMPUTER WILL NOT GO ON THE DVD

Not happy. I had an hour and a half VHS to transfer to a 2 hour DVD, and I had to use 2 DVDs. It took forever to download.

Bought this product to digitize my VHS tapes of family videos. Followed all the instructions, but the software would not send the video from my VCR to my PC. The audio did transfer to my PC, however. Went onto the manufacturer's (Roxio) website for help. Seems many other people had the same issue. Applied many of the suggestions to my problem, but none of them worked. BOTTOM LINE: This software is a complete waste of time & money. Don't even think of buying it. It is garbage!
