IMPORTANT!! Make sure the avi outlets on your Vcr works I was upset i kept getting no video or audio. I thought it was a windows issue I tried 3 different pc, different avi cords. Come to find out the avi ports were not working I tracked down another Vcr and everything works great very pleased.

Great product for windows, easy to transfer videos into digital on my desktop

Easy to use and works well! I transferred 14 vhs tape to my computer.

This was an okay product. It abruptly stopped several times and I had to restart. The instructions are minimal and I would not consider this to be 'user-friendly'. I don't think it is a good value for the price, since there is little instruction or directions. I was able to get it to finish the product based on my previous experience with other programs, not from the directions.

Does what it says. You may need to double check your camera to make sure you have the right cables but the software works fine. Downside is the conversion process is essentially as long as the video you’re converting.

Given the fact that the product is aimed at the long ago obsolete VHS market, this software is as good as can be expected and very easy to use. Don't know of a better way to digitize VHS than this one.

Easy to use software and plug-and-record feature. I was able to copy old home videos to digital format without stress. High quality transfer but the files were too large to be copied onto one dvd-r.

Functional. Does require additional splitter if current equipment is older model VCR or Camcorder.

I had an easy time using this software and I don't care for the fact the software is dated and not the deluxe version, but overall I think it's a great product!

Great product works very good for converting VHS to digital on my Surface Pro 6 with Windows 10. Could use some better instructions regarding editing video, had to dig deep in the support forum to find out how to edit the video which should have been made clear in the instruction manual. Also had to take a chance on compatibility with my laptop as it isn't identified anywhere on the box or online. Good news it is compatible with the Surface Pro 6.

I bought this to move hi 8 tapes to dvd. It works well, but the process seems a little tedious. The software needs to be easier to manipulate. Starting, stopping and editing could be easier.

I purchased this to transfer my VHS to my laptop to then burn on a CD. Unfortunately I had to return it since I needed male plugs to fit into my VCR and this item had female plugs

This product was simple to install and use. I didnt have to struggle with the connection or anything. Be prepared to watch your whole video, or let it play in the background, during the process of converting it to digital. In my case it was amazing to watch the old family videos. Once they are digital, skipping around for editing becomes much easier.

4 star due to install hiccup and trouble burning to disc. Project larger than target. Used same captured project and burned fine with Windows DVD maker.

We've been needing to create digital copies of our old VHS and other videos for years. This does that quick and easy with no problems. It gives you the option to capture and burn directly, or simply capture the videos and save a digital copies that you can either play on the computer, or use a different video editing software for creating more advanced menus and editing. Just note you will need to have the appropriate player for your tapes, as well as the right cables to connect from your player to the provided capture hardware. Highly recommend.

Its works great. Still in the long process of converting, but it works well. Make sure to download the correct software and drivers and you should be good. You basically have to watch while it records. Great memories!

for the price and for what it does its great. Being able to so easily convert my VHS to DVD and keep my movies is great.

I used this product to help me convert a VHS-C tape to a computer file. I already have the VHS-C to VHS adapter cassette to put into my VCR, so I just needed this to hook up to the VCR and computer to convert the file. It works well and is very-straight forward. My one hang up is that the type of file it converts it to is not compatible with iMovie on the Mac when I tried to move it over to my Mac to edit. Fortunately, I found a free program on the Mac App store that easily converts it to an iMovie compatible file, so this ended up not being a huge problem. Great purchase!
