We've been needing to create digital copies of our old VHS and other videos for years. This does that quick and easy with no problems. It gives you the option to capture and burn directly, or simply capture the videos and save a digital copies that you can either play on the computer, or use a different video editing software for creating more advanced menus and editing. Just note you will need to have the appropriate player for your tapes, as well as the right cables to connect from your player to the provided capture hardware. Highly recommend.

    Does A Great Job Converting

I used this product to help me convert a VHS-C tape to a computer file. I already have the VHS-C to VHS adapter cassette to put into my VCR, so I just needed this to hook up to the VCR and computer to convert the file. It works well and is very-straight forward. My one hang up is that the type of file it converts it to is not compatible with iMovie on the Mac when I tried to move it over to my Mac to edit. Fortunately, I found a free program on the Mac App store that easily converts it to an iMovie compatible file, so this ended up not being a huge problem. Great purchase!

Cost Effective, Cumbersome Way to Save Home Videos

It works as expected on a Windows 10 computer, but it's not a particularly quick or easy process. Loading software from a disc is sometimes cumbersome, and this was no exception, but it did automatically search for and found the latest update. Make sure you have the right cables--analog video/audio to connect your VCR to your computer through the included gizmo. It saves videos as and mpeg. I have another program to convert to mpeg-2 for rendering onto a DVD. It's about the only cost effective way to save old VHS home movies before they completely degrade.

Pretty cool little tool. As a 90's kid some of my favorite things are on VHS. I haven't used it a lot because it takes time. You have to be able to sit there and watch it. It has a way to set a timer, but you have to know exactly how much of the tape you want. It works in real time. If its 90 mins, it will take 90 mins

Works pretty good. Got it on sale. Depends on the quality of the recording. Garbage in, garbage out. Quality in, Quality out. Did not try direct to disk so don't know how that works.

Bought this to replace a very old version of the same product thinking newer would be better. This is a very easy to use product, but I had issues with this newer version. The VHS Tapes and VHS-C tapes I was trying to copy appeared like they had major tracking issues. I switched back to my old version and they played/copied just fine. I have no idea why the newer version did not work for me,

I think it could be improved upon (though I'm not a computer engineer), as it seems like there's more you should be able to do, but it works and that's all I really needed from it..

Not happy with Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus. Instructions in box were very limited. I downloaded the complete instructions from the website, an they didn't fully agree with the product. Worst of all, I tried six brands of DVD players, and the finished disk will only play on one - and it's an off-brand (Mintek). With Toshiba, Sony, Fischer, Emerson, and Sylvania I get an error message saying "Pease remove disk. Playback feature may not be available on this disk." I tried eight brands of DVD, in plus and minus R configurations, and each gave the same result Don't think I'll be buying Roxio products anytime soon.

I was skeptical after seeing reviews which stated that it didn’t work with Windows 10. BB associate assured me that it should work or I could return it. It definitely worked with my Windows 10 64bit. It requires the 64 bit version. The program is pretty user friendly and allows you to burn to DVD and save to a file as MPEG or H.264 for archiving. All in all it did what I needed it to do copying old VHS to DVD and saving them before they deteriorate any further.

I had a lot of vhs tapes of my kids when they were little. When they turned 18 I wanted to give them a DVD and this made it possible. You will need video editing software but this is a super easy way to capture your old tapes. It also allows you to hook an old super 8 camera and capture directly from that.
