I purchased to transfer a VHS library to digital. It is smile to use, plug in cable it comes with to VCR and USB on computer. Tape appears on the screen and you can press Record/Stop. A nice feature is there is an auto-stop feature that you can set if going to work or bed. If you forget to stop it on time, you can trim it to the desired ending point before saving. The only downside is the file size. It goes about 1GB for every 10 minutes. I ran through Compressor to decrease the file size by almost 90 percent. It worked great but was very time consuming. Overall happy with the purchase and it got the job done.

This was the only vhs to digital converter I could find that was compatible with Mac. It did the job just fine but doesn't really have any sophisticated editing ability if that is what you are looking for. It will convert your old VHS to several digital formats which you can then burn to DVD with your computer or edit using additional software. A little pricey for what it delivers.

I bought this after using a Tivo DVD recorder for about 10 years, which ended up breaking down a few weeks. I'm a sports nut and I burn many DVDs of memorable games of my favorite teams to keep and watch. I wanted to get something that was easy to use and after researching, I found it with Easy VHS to DVD. It was a quick set on my computer and after reading the instructions, I dubbed my first DVD. Basically connect the VCR to my Mac, press play on the VCR, hit record in the program, and come back when it finishes. The quality of the video on the DVD was much better than the ones I've burned from the Tivo recorder. The only negative is the time it takes for the actual DVD burn, but I think that's more my computer than the actual program.

It might be my Mac, but having the sound and video line up are hit and miss. Other than that, it's good.

Bought this product to transfer some old family videos to digital. Worked like a charm, did just as it was supposed to. Mac user here, never used on PC.

I was trying to make DVD out of a very old VHS video, and it did the job with ease.

I purchased this product to transfer my vcd tapes to digital. I believe that this product would be great, if there wasn't a lag in video and voice after the recording was completed, I felt as though I was watching a old kung fu movie with my finished product. The lag needs to be fixed.

Product version that I purchased wasn’t compatible with my Mac. Contacted the supplier and received a download with a version that worked.

Well… It sure isn't pretty, but this product worked well in getting old video footage off our antiquated camcorders and loaded onto our Macs. The software is a little clunky and outdated, but it did a decent job of capturing the low quality videotapes onto our computers so that we could edit, enhance, and save these memories from a bygone era.

Great little analog to digital video/audio converter. Simple set up, easy software interface, and overall excellent product.

I finally got this to work but in between tapes, the screen would go blank and not recognize the video input. I had to unplug the USB end of the device and re-connect it to get it working.

I gave old vhs footage and am glad to be able to save it. I will be able to edit and use the old footage for new projects.

It is nice and easy to use. It is a handy little device to have for those times you needs to transfer old movies or home movies to electronic format to keep from losing them.

I found this product easy to use, and a cost-efficient option to transfer your VCR tapes to your computer. However, I found that the sound does not sync property with the video transfer. Not sure why that is the case.

Capture old video recordings and turn them into digital functions and quality. Yes you can actually preserve your memories onto digital formats. Not only into dvd's, you can record onto the computer itself. Excellent quality. Be sure to purchase the correct format for your application. Very easy to hook up. Just plug and play. That simple.

Initially the product worked well and was very easy and simple to install. Once I started having technical troubles I had to call for support. The support line out sources to another company which will not speak to you directly on the phone just a series of emails that usually come to to three days after your initial call. It’s the worst customer service set up I’ve ever experienced. I’m still going through a process to try and reboot the system which will entail deleting everything I’ve done so far and starting over

This VHS and 8mm to DVD and/or MAC tool is fantastic. Super easy to install and use. Compatible with all my VHS and 8mm tapes. I have been looking for something like this for a long time. And the price is even better. Awesome !!!

Product is easy to use but lacks video transfer quality. Its OK, but not fabulous.

This product is a little time consuming, but worth it to bring old memories up to current technology. .
