Needed a good product for vhs to DVD and this worked great

It does what I need it to do and is easy to navigate.

I purchased this software to transfer old VHS tapes to DVD. When in 'record' mode, everything "appears" to be running smoothly, but upon playing the finished DVD, sometimes there is something on it, and sometimes not. Customer Service suggested rebooting the computer and starting over. Known issue and nothing can be done about it. Not sure it this is just with the MAC version or not.

Seems to do exactly what I needed it to. Quality of the picture is ok, but here might be more adjustments available that I don't know of.

Still have some old VHS and already had the program for PC. The Mac program worked well, wish it had a little more "in box" instructions but I've used the PC version and it's similar. There is a manual online and it's only 14 pages so not a big deal to scroll through and get more details. Good product.

Works great for transferring VHS to video files. You can download the software from the Roxio site and use the license key included with this so you don't need a DVD burner if all you want is a file. Only tricky part is finding a working VCR these days. Try Goodwill or Savers thrift stores.

This was a gift. Recipient indicated it was a good, easy to use product.

This product does not work. It has so many issues that it sucked a full day of my life and still never worked. Customer support is completely useless. I got emails saying they were reviewing my case, then that they were closing my case - hoping my issue was resolved. Never got any help. I was working on a project on a tight deadline. I never got a single useable piece of video even though everything on the computer said it was working. When I would finish - it would say "capture failed." I finally took it back and suggested that Best Buy pull it from their shelves. Then I went somewhere else and bought Video Capture by Elgato. Worked perfectly with no issues at all.

needed the product to convert VHS tapes - will do an adequate job

Bought this to transfer my wedding VHS to DVD, and options of this sort are limited for Mac hardware and OS. Upon installation I found this device also serves as a live stream from the video source it is connected to. Bonus that will have many uses.

Great to use for capturing footage from old recorders.

Program is easy to use and set up is simple, but there is an obvious audio lag when I record the videos. The audio was about 30 seconds to a minute behind the visual.

The reason this gets 3 stars is because it is not easy to use. After a couple of YouTube videos, I was finally able to figure it out. The conversion does not make a high quality DVD, but it will give you exactly what comes from the VHS.
