I've had it only a month, so I can't give it five stars. It's not a quiet machine, but what shredder is? I tend to collect quite a lot of paperwork to shred before sitting down and doing it all at once. I've stuck to sending a maximum of 4-5 sheets through at a time, but have shredded continuously for 5-10 minutes at a time without stopping while alternating the number of sheets I send through (sometimes a single sheet, sometimes multiple). I also shred credit cards other similar plastic with data, but have not tried CDs. As yet, no problems, jams, or shutdowns, I give it at least 20 minutes to cool down before starting a heavy shredding session again. The basket doesn't hold all that much, but I bought it because I didn't have to take the top off to empty. The basket slides in and out easily. I also like the confetti it produces vs paper strips that can still show your data information. Don't overwork it and allow for a good amount of time to cool down and it should power through your documents without any problems.

This is great so far. The casters help move it. The main reason we purchased it was the way you remove the shredded paper. An easy drawer removal; not the typical take the top off and pour out the waste can.

This shredder sits behind my desk and takes care of all of my sensitive paperwork. I must say that it is slow and dies not handle more than two pages at a time. However, overall, it does what it is supposed to do. The best feature is the drawer where the shreddings go. It is so easy to clean up!

I am happy with this shredder a great purchase for the price and compact. I almost decided not to purchase it because it was smaller than my previous one but it cuts paper smaller so it holds a lot.

I waited to review this product because I first wanted to put it to a good amount of use. So far it is performing at a great level. I was concerned when it started to squeak and contacted Royal by email to ask what they suggested I could do. That was months ago and they never responded. I just kept using it and the squeak went away. It returns every so often but only for a short while. I’ve done a lot of shredding with it and am not disappointed.

I use this frequently and it works fine. I use it for home use I can scored up to eight sheets at one time.

A bit smaller than the last one I had, but still works just as good.

Thought by the description it would be larger. It does what I want, as long as you feed the beast slowly. Eight pages at a time ?, Yes. One after another?, NO. Works great but at a slow pace.

The rating is on the product. Unfortunately, it was a lemon. The smell of plastic was overwhelming (like burnt oil) and the shredder was very loud. It got a very good review previously which is why I purchased it. No luck with this one.

Shredder was just what I was looking for. Service was excellent received when they said.

I just started using this shredder today after it came in 2 days ago. It came in earlier than expected. I have only put in 6 sheets at time and it still got hot stopped. Very disappointing for the price.
