New puppy. New rug doctor. Has been great no issues.

I bought this unit because I have rented many of rug doctors in the past. But when I open the box on this unit the water didn't work at all on this unit I took it back ..

As good as this vacuum really is it does leave water behind a bit irritating to use certain spaces

I bought this because it was a Rug Doctor. Pulled the thing out of the box, and it worked great the first time. Then I used it again and it left a HUGE leaky mess underneath the machine, I figured it was just me...so I used it again a few weeks later, and it leaked even more than before plus it spewed a nasty cloud of dirty stream in it's wake. This is going back pronto. I was looking for something to make my life easier, not require even more clean up after cleaning up!

I reviewed this product and compared it with the other top brand. The suction does exactly what the company claims it does. However, the cord is the issue. It gets twisted and makes it difficult to use the machine because you have to constantly stop to untangle it.

It seemed to work on light stains but anything that is set in it just didn’t seem to do much

I would not recommend the Rug Doctor carpet cleaner. Great cleaning and suction is awesome BUT the sprayer keeps clogging making the unit unuseable.

I received product to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own. I have a big siberian husky, two cats and a five year old daughter so unexpected messes happen frequently in our home. I already own a carpet cleaner but it is not portable or easy to get out for quick action. We have used the Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner daily since it arrived in our home. The carrying handle makes it easy to transport the light weight spot cleaner. Setting up the cleaner for use takes literally just minutes. With the option for a rotating brush, you can use the cleaner for deep cleaning or simply turn off the brush for light spills. Filling and emptying the tanks is easy. Simply dump out, dry, then roll the cleaner to the pantry for later use. My five year old daughter has enjoyed cleaning up her own spills with supervision. Unlike small carpet cleaners I've used previously, the Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner has excellent suction and the carpet doesn’t feel wet after using the cleaner. The long extension cord makes it easy to use the cleaner anywhere. The portable spot cleaner will get plenty of use on our carpets, furniture, and in the car!

It worked fine for maybe one month. After that loose the suction power. Returned, bought a new one and it did the same thing. Went back to Bissell.

Failed on mybjust one month after buying it. Bought three vacums in a period of six months. Went back to bissell.

We have 4 cats, 3 dogs, 2 preschoolers, and a teenage boy. As you can imagine, messes happen, and often! Whether it's a spilled drink, grapes crushed into the carpet, mud, dirt, or even pet messes, it seems I am cleaning my carpet a few times a week, at least! This can be pretty annoying, especially when using a huge, bulky, full-sized shampooer. Luckily, the Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner does everything our large shampooer does, only better. The suction and scrubbing action is absolutely amazing, and this unit is highly portable. It's lightweight, and I love the luggage-style handle. This makes it very easy to move from place to place. We have used this on SO many different stains, from blood and mustard to cat gak and doggie diarrhea. Some of these stains were in odd places, so I can't really say how long they had been there before treating them. We have found that no matter how old or set-in the stain, the Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner removed them completely and quickly. The scrubbing brush is motorized, which definitely saves time while cleaning, and it also really gets down deep into carpets. I have found that when using this to clean pet messes, we don't experience any remarking later on. This is a huge plus, since with so many pets, getting stains and odor out is key when trying to prevent accidents. Changing the water and cleaner is also very easy. (MAJOR brownie points there!) Usually, I have to have my husband use our large shampooer since it's hard to snap the pieces in. With this Rug Doctor Spot Cleaner, I can have it ready to go in no time flat. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with pets, kids, or both! It's been an absolute life-saver, and keeps our carpets looking clean and fresh between deep cleanings. Lasted only a year. Water spray stopped working. Checked the line and cleaned the hoses and didn’t get fixed. Trigger switch mechanism still works just not shooting water when I turn the machine on. Clean solution not pumping out at all anymore.

Nozzle is too wide for small tight areas like in the car

I was trying find a portable steam cleaner. Spoke with the salesperson, he help me select this particular item. Only to discovered it's not a steam cleaner. Very very disappointed and a waste of time.
