Great carpet cleaner, ok for tile

I am not one who cleans my carpets more than a few times a year, but I do mop my tile weekly, so I was excited to give the FlexClean a try. My house is primarily tile, with a few rooms of carpet.
Out of the box its quick and easy to put together and feels very sturdy.
I first tested the hard surface option, I found the tile nozzle a bit difficult to get aligned properly when putting it on. The tanks are easy to fill, empty, and clean. To clean tile there is a selector switch and the nozzle and you're ready to go. I found that the machine does an ok job with tile, however wasn't able to clean the grout, which was disappointing. The amount of water left behind was equivalent to a mop, and the cleaning solution that came with the cleaner left streaks on the tile.
The next test is pet stained carpet, I refilled the reservoir and selected the deep clean option. On a room that was 15'x22' it took almost the entire container, when following the guidelines for making multiple passes. The end result was that all the stains came out and the carpet looked very nice, no issues there. The trade off is that it took the carpets about 7 hours to dry with the deep clean option.
The final option is the quick dry, this worked great, less water was used and it took care of a few lightly soiled areas and dried within 3 hours.
The good:
Robust cleaner, does not feel flimsy.
Clean and dirty reservoirs are both easy to fill / empty and drop into place without any effort.
Does a great job on carpet settings
Indicator lights to show when reservoir is empty
~30 lbs making it easy to maneuver.
The roller goes close to the edge, so able to clean close to walls.
The bad:
Due to water left behind and streaking, this will never replace my steam mop.
Doesn't scrub grout or anything that isn't flush with the hard surface being cleaned.
Squeegee nozzle is a bit cumbersome to line up.

Loved my old one but, it broke and got replaced with newer model that I do not like at all. It broke after three uses. They put smaller wheels on it and it’s harder to push as well.

This all-in-one deep cleaner works on both carpets/rugs and hard floors (laminate, hardwood, tile and stone). It came packaged really well and has a good quick start guide with pictures (love that over a multi page written document... I need to see pictures too). Assembly was awesome and easy. Everything was labeled. Good work on that!!! Important to know which nozzle you want to use depending on the type of surface (carpet or hardwood). Once you figure that out.... away you go. Note the brush cannot be removed it has to be cleaned by hand after you use it. We have carpet, tile and hardwood and it worked well on all three. I was not expecting that. The unit is heavy, so be ready for that, but that was to be expected in my book.

Disappointed in the performance. It doesn’t suck up 1/2 of the cleaning solution and leaves the floor very wet.

We've had several carpet cleaning machines, but never had one that would clean carpet and wood/ tile, so was anxious to try this one out.
It was really heavy for my wife to move around, so I was "hired" by her to take over, and thought it worked pretty well.
It is hard to maneuver side to side; going straight back and forth wasn't bad at all.
Like others who have used this, I thought it left alot of water on my wood floors; fortunately, we live in the desert, so it didnt take much more than turning all the ceiling fans on to dry all the wet spots up pretty quickly. It got alot of dirt into the tank, so I guess the floors were dirtier than they looked!
A decent machine, but, a small lady will have difficulty moving this around, but it shouldn't be a problem for most others.

When you first open the box, it’s clear that this machine is meant to be easy to use. The only assembly required is to attach the handle to the base with a single screw. Otherwise, it’s ready to use out of the box. There’s even a starter amount of cleaning solution so you can get started right away. The starter amount is enough for 1-2 sessions. Depending on the type of surface and degree of cleaning you want, you would dilute more of less of the solution into the clean water tank.
The results are about what you’d expect from a rug shampoo machine. It’s about as noisy as a typical vacuum. It feels a little more powerful, since it’s sucking water, not just air. It definitely has an impact. My rug was visibly cleaner. The water was quite dark with the accumulated dirt, even after weekly vacuumings. The drying time leaves a little something to be desired. However, that’s been the case with every rug cleaning service and machine that I’ve used. The thick carpet I have was dry to the touch within 4 hours. I used the standard cleaning mode, not the deeping cleaning mode. The instructions call for two wet passes (spraying cleaner) and at least two vacuuming passes, which I did.
The cleaning results sell the product. I’ve use professionals in the past because I liked the security of knowing that it was done right. The rug doctor’s simplicity makes it an easier decision to choose to clean the rugs myself. It has easy set up, straightforward cleaning solution mixing, and works on multiple services. I have a mix of tile, laminate wood, and rug on the lower level of my house. This one machine cleaned all the surfaces with a single tank of mixed cleaner. More importantly, it cleaned them all well. I didn’t realize how much my Swiffer Mop and vacuum were leaving behind. I strongly suspect the extracted water will get less dirty over time, as I’m able to use this machine more often.
