This is the same units you can rent at local grocery and home improvement stores. The difference is that this one is brand new and doesn't have anyone else's nasty carpet stuff on it. Very glad we bought this item.

The rug doctor I received was not the package advertised so I returned it. Best Buys website has been changed to the value package they send you.

The carpet cleaner is good but did not come with the hose and the chemicals stated on the website and Best Buy give me a hard time to try and get that stuff that was supposed to come with it I had to end up purchasing the house from Home Depot

It would be great if it could go back and forth and scrub without spraying when water is in it

This carpet cleaner is the best I've owned! I've used some of the smaller uprights but they break and fail easy. This Mighty Pro even works better than some of the Rug Doctor machines that I've rented. * Great Suction * Few parts * Easy to move * Lift off tank * Great scrubbing brushes Could not be happier with this purchase.

The rug doctor was on sale so I gave it a try. I also have a bissell big free commercial. They are direct competitors. Both clean well but the rug Doctor uses more water telling me that less water is being sucked up.
