One of the greatest movie soundtracks ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Rushmore is one of the greatest indie dark comedies ever produced and the collection of music that makes up the soundtrack really helped to make the movie what it is and give it a truly unique feel. Movie soundtracks don't usually get much better than this. It's obvious that when Wes Anderson imagined this movie he had Cat Stevens, and The Who, and The Faces in mind. Even the original tracks by Mark Mothersbaugh are great. The only problem with the soundtrack is that it's missing the song "Jersey Thursday" by Donovan which is in the film. Even if you haven't seen the movie buy the soundtrack.
