cannot get it to work with any hard drive, in windows 10 it just connects and disconnects never recognizing it. won't work on windows 7 at all. I've tried it on all 3 pc and 2 laptops i have with no success. customer support just emails you same direction that come in box. i tried all tips i could find on youtube and internet searches.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The adapter works great with many different types of HDDs and SSDs. I didn't even know when purchasing it has an adapter compatible with the older style IDE drives, The IDE and power connection is a tight fit, but works great.
