Works in Windows and MacOS with no issues. The price is good for the value and easy to find in the store. My previous unit (different brand) had separate USB cable. This unit is all one piece. It makes for one less point of failure.

I purchased the item and it does work as advertised, no i am not being compensated for this review nor am i just saying it to say it. If you want to use external drives this is a great alternative then purchasing an external drive outright. The portability of the short wire helps when you need to put it in your pocket for on the go activities. Expand your storage with what you already have sitting around and this is the best way to do that for a reasonable price. If you do not believe me that is fine but at least give it a try and if you dont like or need it you have the return time period to recieve your money back!

Been using for above a year now, perfect for what I needed it for, which was an external drive with the ability to be portable but with good speeds. This product is amazing for my use case and I believe it would be for most.

Pretty good for ssds, comes in clutch when it's needed. I keep one in my bag at all times for those moments when I do need it. Paird with a small ssd and i always have the files I need and a place to back up to. I also use it with an ssd running Linux and it seems to transfer fast enough for that. Nothing special just does what it's supposed to do.

was able to get things moved off my SSD and old disk drive without needing to turn my old pc on, just pulled the old drives and plugged them in!

I use this daily as a conversion to use an internal SSD as an external one for extra storage on my Xbox and it works great. I’d recommend it to anyone needing a reliable adapter

This thing is pretty straightforward: it's essentially an external HDD enclosure for SSDs and 2.5 SATA drvies, without the enclosure. Great for quick formatting, swaps, and cloning.

Originally got this to format a drive replacement for a nephews Xbox one. But I’ve been able to use this for so much more. I have quite a few 2.5in HDDs left over from putting SSD in their place. This little thing has allowed me to utilize all those as game storage back for both my PS5 and Xbox series X. Saving a ton buying dedicated storage devices, which are basically the same exact thing. Not to mention backing up files for our multiple household laptops.

I needed this device in order to clone my main SSD hard drive in my desktop to a larger one. Sounds simple enough, yet it is possible to pickup software and peripherals of all sorts that will fail on the simplest needs. Thank goodness, this was not one of those cases. Easy plug-and-play, no drivers neccesary. Beest if used via USB 3 Type-A port to get the fastest data transfer available to it. If you want, or need to, you'll be able to attach any SATA HDD/SSD to this adapter and use it for extra game storage for you XBox/Playatation. The device is compatible and recognized in the system since Sabrent is a trusted and reliable brand. If you're using it to clone your hard drives, just make sure you have a good software and your computer overall is still able to run long enough to not freeze or crash during the process.

Great Value For Money! I wanted to replace my extremely slow laptop HDD with SSD. With this cable, the cloning went well and faster than I expected. Will recommend it for any type of data transfer or copying of large files from one disk to the other.

I was working on a project that required me to move lots of data around a couple drives. This adapter was super handy. I was able to hotswap the necessary drives, and it supported the max speed of the drives on a single usb3.0 connection. Simple, effective and price efficient.

This product was extremely helpful as my computer died and I had no access to the hard drive. I was able to utilize the product to obtain the data from the hard drive.

Easy to use, lets me quickly move my SSD from computer to computer for backups, etc. works great with no problems so far! I’ve bought several Sabrent products in the past and have never had a problem so I look for their brand because these days there’s so much junk out there.

I had an enclosure that failed soon after I bought it. This cable allows me to attach any SATA drive without needing to access an enclosure. Transfer speeds are not amazing but they are fast enough for me.

Works perfectly to transfer files from/to smaller drives. It is not made for larger sata drives as it can not power them from just USB. Definitely recommend for the price alone
