    Had a number of old SATA hard drives that I removed from my several old laptops that I had on storage. This was good way to access the drives and transfer content to SDD drives.

    Works just great when plugged into USB 3.0 ports. Otherwise it's very slow when connected to USB 2.0 ports. Will also work with USB-C to USB 3.0 OTG cable.

    It did what I needed but only works for 2.5 drives. I was able to retrieve some old data from a few old laptop drives. My 3 stars are only because it was not what I was really looking for.

    Okay so I don’t know about long term use, but it was detected instantly. The drive was dead, but other drives I could recover data from.

    Does not support hotswapping drives. You have to unplug the usb and plug it back in so you can't just leave it plugged into the back of your computer. It does work though and got transfer speed of about 115Mb/s
