(No the drives are fine, I put them into another computer and was able to recover all the information I needed.)

The instructions were a little vague for the blank drive initial setup. It would have been better to recommend using Computer Management, Storage/Disk Management to start the setup process that they described. Before I realized this, I thought it was not working, but it was operator error.

The only reason why I gave it a four (vs five star) is b/c it not obvious what type of external hard drives are compatible with it. For example, I got it for a Seagate Free Agent Go Flex and it is not compatible. Luckily enough I had another hard drive to test it and worked.

Two different types to connect my internal USB and neither worked. I don't know what I was doing wrong. The little light came on both and I checked my drives under device manager, it wouldn't initiate. Troubleshooted awhile. I guess I have to take all my old internals in to bestbuy and try to get them transferred over. Pay a grip of money.

This device is intermittent at best, and will likely damage your drive. It worked okay for a little while, but I recently tried to use it for two new SSD's and it ruined them both. They are now only detected by the PC, but not readable nor can I format them. Thanks Sabrent. Seriously, read some of the other reviews. I wish I did.

Ended up having to use a USB thumbdrive to flash my SSDs. This piece of junk went straight into the garbage.

The store wouldn't use my gift card either as the person running the cash register wouldn't ask for assistance and told me to use online when I went there to use the gift card.

I tried the adapter on multiple computers, tried several hard drives and even solid slate drives. The blue light on the SATA adapter lit up, but it did not connect between the devices. I read other reviews in hopes that I wouldn’t get a “dud” like many others did. ***PLEASE GET THIS RIGHT BEFORE PUTTING THIS ON THE MARKET****

Don't buy. Typical of Jmicron quality... I bought 7 but today I found out how bad this cable really is NOT even any other 4TB but 1 samsung would work and not labeled on the box.....
