The product was well packaged, and it has a very ease of use. I myself grabbed this because of work I had to get from an older hard drive that I had in an older laptop. I had old work files and a lot of music which I saved on this drive, and I need to get it. Perfect tool for the job.

Great I had a hard time finding this but I came across it at best buy they ordered it and in no time I had what I needed

I used it to clone my 7 year old Win 10 HP Laptop 1 TB Toshiba HD to a 1TB Crucial MX500 SSD and it worked without any issues. Now the laptop boots from the SSD and I use the adapter to connect the Toshiba to the laptop for backups. It works with no issues. Keep in mind that this WILL NOT work on larger 3.5 HDs because they require more power than the USB port can provide.

The adapter worked wonderfully for the project that I was working on. I was trying to use a ssd to have as an external os drive to boot into. The cord allowed me to do this, now able to boot into an external ubuntu os ssd.

Works as advertised. I was able to connect a Sata hard drive via USB to my computer in order to copy files from that hard drive. It was really plug and play—no drivers were required. My old computer stopped working and I was able to remove the hard drive, connect it to my new computer via USB with this cable, and copy the files I needed. I would highly recommend this product.

My old PC had an external SATA connector to which I hooked an SSD for my Linux Mint TimeShift data. My new Linux Mint PC only has internal SATA connectors, but several external USB 3.1 connectors. This cable works great, and is as fast, if not faster, than my old external SATA connection.

You will never know when you need to mount a HD. This cable makes it easy.
