You hook up the drive and plug in the USB and you can start using it right away to transfer files to and from your computer.

Decent speeds, blue led to show activity. Works as advertised. ONLY WORKS WITH 2.5". Will not work with 3.5" HDD.

It should work fine with a solid state drive unit but it did not work with a hard drive. We had to get the Unitek unit that includes a 12 volt 2 amp power connector to spin the HDD.

I looked up on the internet an it was recommended that I get an adapter. I followed the instructions, and I was able to retrieve my files!

With the new ss drive my old laptop computer boots up fast and runs better than when it was new.

I also used it to connect to my laptop and store some of my games on an old hard drive that I had.

Sale price is very good. Regular price is a bit high for what it is. Not super fast, but is fine for most applications.
