The case and backlit keyboard are great. There is a design flaw though. The charging port is USB C and on the right side of the key board. The charging cord that comes with the keyboard is USB C to USB A. The Surface Pro X has USB C only ports and is on the left side of the Pro X. Why wouldnt you match it up with the Pro X and have USB C to USB C to allow the Pro X charge it?
Also, there are no directions on how to pair the keyboard to the Pro X. Had to look it up online.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I really love it but, 1) when using it, it does not turn off the tablet keyboard. 2) the keys don't seem to be sturdy. my cat knocked it on the carpeted floor and one of the keys broke off. case is nice
