This is game is really good. I like it better than the first and the third one. Many missions to do as well as mini missions.

well, i havent beaten it yet, but so far, so good. I personally liked the graphics engine from the first game, but this one is okay. The cars handle amazing, and the guns are fun to use, especially when holding off hords of gangs. But.... there is something wrong with the autosave, so save manually, and some of the sounds are annoying, like one gang uses only one kind of pistol, so when their all using it at the same time, its annoying. and cars reach there top speed quickly, so that sound gets annoying, but there all so little i dont think you would notice it unless you focused hard enough

i have always gotten more enjoyment out of saints row than grand theft auto due to the amount of things you can do outside of missions, also the game has a sence of humor and can be very funny. the graphics are good and there are plenty of vehicles as well as customization options for cars, gangs, even places you buy (safehouse, cribs). it is a neat aspect and they added and improved upon the last saints row game for xbox. the game is definatly worth checking out though if you are a parent the game does have cursing, nudity,obscene gestures, as well as violence of course so be weary of it if you are buying it for your child. i am dissapointed that the company has not put an update for trophy support, therefore this is a game that i have since traded in after beating for something else. i was hopeing they would put trophies in to warrant another play through, and possibly make me play the game in ways i wouldnt have otherwise thought of. if you are new to the saints row it is a GTA clone, but done better in my opinion. if you like grand theft auto you will probably like this game. definatly check it out. it is worth buying due to rental time wouldnt give you enough time to fully explore the game, unless you have a subscription based rental service to keep it as long as you want.

This game is absolutely fun to play One must compare this game to its competition and that is GTA IV. GTA IV has the better story, is more serious, and has the better graphics. Saints Row 2 is more fune to play and has much better online game play. Saints Row 2 offers full co-op which allows your friends to jump into one of your games and leave just as easily (or vise versa) and has specific online modes. In-vehicle controls are also better for Saints Row 2 as one can easily fire out of a moving vehicle without having to hold two buttons like (like GTA IV). Saints Row 2 has many screen tearing issues and the graphics can come off as a little cartoonish when compared to GTA IV. The PS3 version also had muddier graphics (ie darker, less clear) than the Xbox 360 release. I actually think that this is a plus as it takes away from the cartoonish feel making things grittier. Is the game a perfect 10/10 (or 5/5 in this case)? No. is GTA IV perfect? Absolutely not. no games are perfect. but still i recommend you buying both games Saints Row 2 and GTA IV they are great in their own ways

The graphics are good. The game play is goof. The customization of character, crip and cars / motorcycles is great. The story is great as well. The story was a little to linear and didn't have too many twists and turns. It didn't have any "choices" like GTA4. I am surprised at the amount of 5 stars. Yes it is a good game, but it is missing to many small things to get that from me. Things disappear from view. A car can pass you and you turn and it is gone. Things appear from thin air. Too many little things that SHOULD be fixed for it to be a great game. Also the playability just isn't there because of the little things missing. The next time I need a little "stress relief" that only blowing thing up can bring, I will pick up GTA4.

this game is just like gta except there are gangs. So if you like the gta series you will more than likely enjoy this game. But items disspear as you look around such as cars and people. It also is pretty hard to drive the helicopters and the cars. But overall it is a good game with a decent storyline i would reccomend picking it up for yourself.

this game was all around great you could do more than gta i felt gta spent more time on the map then game plot. where saints row spent more on the game, and enough on the map. which in my opinion was better. i wouldn't buy it i would just rent it, because you wont play it again after you beat it.

Of course there's been a lot of comparison talk to this game and Grand Theft Auto and I for one was one of those who looked at Saints Row 2 as a gta wannabe. But after hearing about how much fun this game is and on many levels how it's better that gta4, I figured I'd give it a try to see what all the hype was about and too my surprise I found myself playing this game for several hours the first time before even putting it down. Simply put, it's flat out fun! There's SO MUCH you can do in the way of customization from your character, to your crib, to your cloths, to your vehicles, and then some. Not only that, but you get rewarded for doing so. There's also a ton of insane activities to keep you busy for hours without even hitting the main story. This game also has A LOT of humor that keeps you rollin'. Honestly, if anything, gta4 was a bit too serious when compared with sr2 and really the only true similarities is that they're both open environment titles. They are truly two noticeably different games when you start playing them and it's apparent from the time you pick up the joystick. As an avid gta4 fan I must admit that sr2 is better in a number of ways and has definitely sold me. I'd definitely recommend to all!

Don't get me wrong, this is a positive review. GTA4 took itself too seriously and lost some of the fun (flying planes) with their latest edition. SR2 kept that asepct of the game and brought it to the PS3 system. The graphics could be a lot better but overall this is a good game. The game kind of comes off like they just copied GTA San Andreas but, at the same time at least they followed arguably the best GTA game on the line. I would recomend this game for those of you who want to get back to the fun of free roaming games like this.

This game beats any GTA except maybe Vice City. I have always been a fan ov GTA Vice City. But this game goes far beyond any of the other GTA games. Awesome characters to associate with in the game. I wished it was a little bit longer in the story but the story line is great too. This is definitely worth getting. I have yet to play Saints Row 3 but this game is going to be hard to beat. Now that I think about it, I also love how you have to move up through the ranks of being the big guy in town. I have seen youtube videos of Saints Row 3 that you are already "the big guy in town". I might not like that too much in Saints Row 3 but I love that about Saints Row 2! I can't speak for how the co-op online game play is but I am sure that it's awesome as well.

open world gameplay is amazing. The cut scenes/dialog are really funny! The side missions were a great add-on - alot of fun to play. The endless customization of the character is simply breath taking.

I got this for my fiance for only $5 as a stocking stuffer, he likes Grand Theft Auto alot, but he already finished/beat the game. SaintsRow2 is similar. Of course GTA graphics are better and would make a better gift than SR2. The map is better in this game than GTA.

ITS OK. THERE ARE ALOT OF BUGS AND AUTOSAVE IS BEING DUMB. BUT REALLY REALLY ADDICTIVE

After seeing the commercials for this game, i was excited to play it. i finally bought it about a week ago, and havent put it down. I am a huge GTA fan, and thought i would nitpick and dislike things about the gae, but it is simply amazing. Graphics arent as good as GTA4, but the story is a million times better in my opinion. Awesome characters, great missions, a million side missions to gain money and respect. And best of all is the customization. Customize your character down to the smallest detal, customize your cribs, gang, cars, everything. This is my favorite video game of all time. Definitely reccomend.

I just got the game today and it is so good! the gameplay is very smooth and it has improved better then the first one. you have a lot more options when you create your player and not only can you be a male but you can also be a female (just for the ladies that like playing this game). personally i think it is better than gta4 but others have their different opinions. anyways i really like this game and if you liked playing the first one then you should get this game. and if you havent played the first one i suggest you buy the first one and this just so you can have double the pleasure of playing saints row

"Saint Row 2" cliamed to be a bite off of GTA's San Andreas. Its got some of the little things about it from the GTA francise. Then you play the game it takes its own spin. The missions our more in detail and the game keeps you envolved in sort of an addictive manner. Its a good thing if you as me. I thought the game was a joke till i played it. So give it a chance.

easy to play, lots of things to do ,many levels,make figire look like you want ,drive ,fly choppers,airplains ,we play every day n enjoy it,buy cribs,boats ,cars, choppers ,motercycles,good for girls n boys 17 plus m rating ,even dads play with there sons ,have on line play very good,hours of play,gamble its a anther plus ,a must see,buy good deal for the money.

Very good game,alot of people compare it to GTA4 as soon as they see it but its not-i have both and find Sr2 to be much better,not in graphics but gameplay this game is soo fun its like San Andreas for the PS3,very funetc-Custimize ur gang rides and cribs as well soo much to do :D

yeah this game is not the same as gta4, but that is what the producers wanted. sr was originally designed to make fun of gta but it turned into a hit game. the same style of gameplay is used in this one and it just makes for a very unrealistic situation but a heck of a game.
