Unit is nice, took a little while to assemble. A little pricey for shelves. Fits in a closet

The finish is ok. I get it, this is Salamander's entry-level AV rack, however, at $255, I was expecting a bit more quality. While I'm not totally disappointed there are some issues I found. Firstly, There were 4 nuts that looked like they came off of a beat-up engine covered in dirt and grime. They were also cross-threaded. To complete the build, I had to retap them. Not a very big deal but worth noting. Second, The threaded rod on their website looks a lot nicer than the ones provided. It is quite literally a coated threaded rod as you would find in home depot. They made it look like the rod was smoothed over and not sharp. The kind you would see in a leaner screw rail.

I purchased this as a second stand to be used in my bedroom. I liked it so much, I ended up retiring the stand in the family room and using this one in there. I’m considering purchasing a second one that I will finally use for the bedroom.

Heavy duty, beautiful simplicity, adjustable heights. Looks great... worth it even for mid-fi gear owners ... straight forward assembly parts all fit .... An honest real "you get what you pay for" piece if not more
